CovrPrice.Com Runners-Up for Week of 12/3/21

As promised, the Covrprice.com runners-up list. The second half of the Top 20.

#11 AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #337 | MARVEL | 1990
SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME is a BIG deal right now. When tickets went on sale on Monday the 29th, it nearly broke the internet. For some sites, it pretty much did just that. This highly anticipated film could be the first post-Covid film to see true box office returns that resembles pre-covid times. This excitement has affected comic sales tremendously. It even ignited sales for this issue’s second appearance of the Sinister Six. 16 copies sold with a 7-day trend of 106% and had a high sale of $195.88 for a CGC 9.6. Raw copies are trending at a FMV of $32.

#12 DAREDEVIL #9 | MARVEL | 1999
With Maya Lopez appearing in Hawkeye, issues #10 & #11 have spiked and landed both issues on the Top 10. Her first appearance in this issue remains the powerhouse key with 16 copies sold, a 7-day trend of 104%, and a high sale of $850 for a CGC 9.8.

#13 PROCTOR VALLEY ROAD #1 | BOOM | 2021 Alex Child, co-writer of PROCTOR VALLEY ROAD (with Grant Morrison), was recently charged with SPEC TALES PODCAST that this project had been optioned. While this is still unconfirmed, copies are moving. Released back in April 2021, copies should still be easy to find at your LCS. 36 copies sold, a 7-day trend of 126%, and had a high sale of $74.80 for a CGC 9.8.

#14 SLEEPWALKER #1 | MARVEL | 1991
There are (once again) rumors of a SLEEPWALKER series in development at Disney+. This mostly ignored and obscure Marvel character has done this dance before. With new rumors circulating, 31 copies sold with a 7-day trend of 86% and had a high sale of $185 for a CGC 9.8.

#15 SYMBIOTE SPIDER-MAN ALIEN REALITY #3 | MARVEL | 2020
In the most recent SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME trailer, there’s a brief scene where Spider-Man is wielding magic-infused gauntlets. This cover, featuring Spider-Man as a symbiote-powered Sorcerer Supreme, was the closest thing fans could find to represent this moment. 18 copies sold, giving it a 7-day trend of 142% with a high sale of $31 for a raw copy.

#16 DARK REIGN ZODIAC #1 | MARVEL | 2009
In Moon Knight #5, an obscure Marvel villain called Zodiac is reintroduced after first appearing in this 2009 title. Taking some of the steam from Hunter’s Moon, Zodiac is presented as the recent mastermind behind Marc Spector’s current challenges. This first appearance sold 10 copies, had a 7-day trend of 177%, and had a high sale of $36.18 for a raw copy.

#17 HAWKEYE #1 | MARVEL | 2016
The HAWKEYE Disney+ series is moving all sorts of key issues. This first solo Kate Bishop series has been a core title that collectors have been steadily selling for months. With the HAWKEYE series officially underway with 49 copies sold, a 7-day trend of 67%, and had a high sale of $200 for a CGC 9.8.

#18 HAWKEYE #2 | MARVEL | 2012
This classic Matt Fraction/ David Aja series is clearly very influential on the Disney+ HAWKEYE series as Aja’s art designs animate the show’s opening credits. After Kate Bishop was introduced in Young Avengers, this issue features her first team-up/meeting with Clint Barton. While a minor key, it still sold 11 copies with a 7-day trend of 135% and a high sale of $50 for a VF/NM raw copy.

#19 EDGE OF SPIDER-VERSE #2 | MARVEL | 2014
In the SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME trailer, Dr. Strange yells, “they’re coming through.” That led to a TON of speculation on who he was referring to. Along with Miles, there’s speculation (or wishful thinking) that Spider-Gwen or Gwen Stacey could also appear in the film. While there have been absolutely no signs of this, it still sold 12 copies, had a 7-day trend of 108%, and had a high sale of $1,251.99 for a CGC 9.8.

#20 HAWKEYE #11 | MARVEL | 2013
In this issue, series favorite Arrow, aka Lucky, is given a new nickname, “Pizza Dog.” Fans adore this dog and love seeing his inclusion on the show. While he first appeared in issue #1 of this series, many collectors like to focus on this issue, where he receives the pizza moniker we all love. This issue sold 16 copies, had a 7-day trend of 106%, and had a high sale of $195.88 for a raw copy.
