FOC is the last chance to put in your orders with your comic shops and likely get at a discount for pre-ordering.
There was no Marvel on last weeks FOC so we’ll kick this week off with Marvel books on FOC.
She-Hulk #1 is the new volume Marvel is kicking off, probably to also prepare us for the Disney+ show. Definitely one to watch but tons of covers and variants. This one will not be hard to get as shops are gonna load up.

I like Chip. He’s a talented artist but I think he’s proving now to be a more superior writer. So I’m picking up Daredevil Woman Without Fear #1 (of 3) for the read.
Daredevil Woman Without Fear #1 (of 3) (Hitch Variant)
Daredevil Woman Without Fear #1 (of 3) (Nauck Headshot Variant)
Daredevil Woman Without Fear #1 (of 3) (Stormbreakers Variant)
Death of Doctor Strange Bloodstone #1 because well, because it’s a good long term gamble I think. Plenty will be available though more than likely.
Death of Doctor Strange Bloodstone #1 (Wolf Variant)
Death of Doctor Strange Bloodstone #1 (1:10 Design Variant)
Up until this next pick, looked like the ladies were dominating the FOC picks for Marvel but a no brainer goes to Star Wars High Republic Eye of Storm #1. I get those Thrawn type vibes for specability (is that a word? maybe need a hyphen in there somewhere?) from this character. We’ll be seeing a whole lot more of this character in the future most likely.
Star Wars High Republic Eye of Storm #1 (Artist a Variant)
Star Wars High Repuclic Eye of Storm #1 (Pacheco 1:25 Ratio Variant)
If you’ve frequented the forums, seems some talks about potential firsts in Thor #21. Some thought it was going to happen in #20 but turned out as nothing so far. But if we all know Cates, it’s a roller coaster ride in how he introduces new characters and firsts. So with all the heat initially on this series, it’s due for some buzz I think so worth keeping a close eye on.
Thor #21 (Cheung Headshot Sketch Variant)
Thor #21 (Creees Lee Classic Homage Variant)
I’ve been waiting on Apache Delivery Service #1 and it’s getting closer. I like Kindt and Jenkins, they make a great team on titles.
Apache Delivery Service #1 (Laurence Campbell & Dave Stewart Variant Cover)
Monkey Meat #1 (of 5) is an Image title I’m also looking forward to. Love the concept and really dig the style of art.
For you Nocterra fans out there, here comes a special. I kind of feel it’s a bit early for a “special” issue since we’ve barely got past the first arc but there’s a pretty cool all black cover, nothing ground breaking but still always cool to see.
Nocterra Special (Cover A – Daniel & Maiolo)
Nocterra Special (Cover B – Cowan & Sotomayor)
Nocterra Special (Cover C – Blackout Var)
Nocterra Special (Cover E – 25 Copy Cowan B&W Variant)
I’m digging this Joker cover for Joker Presents a Puzzlebox #6 (of 7) (Cover B – Miguel Mendonca Card Stock Variant). Love it.. but I must admit, Joker Presents a Puzzlebox #6 (of 7) (Cover A – Chip Zdarsky) is also a pretty kick ass Awesome A cover!
Batman needs a solid sidekick. He should never seek out another Robin, they just always seem to die on him. We need more Ace the Bat-Hound in our current Batman comics. First appearing in Batman #92 way back in the 50s, just seems like we don’t get enough appearances. But Ace is showing up in Batman Urban Legends #11 (Cover B – Karl Mostert Variant) and even makes a cover appearance.
I don’t expect any heat on this book. The canine lover in me is picking this because well, dogs are cool and are the best!
I like this cover A for Batman #119 (Cover A – Jorge Molina). Now that Tynion is not writing Batman, I might be giving the regular title a chance at reading.
