#11 MILES MORALES SPIDER-MAN #13 | MARVEL | 2019
1ST APPEARANCE OF BILLIE MORALES
Well, it’s confirmed that Billie Morales, sister of Miles Morales, will take the mantle of Spider Smasher in the upcoming Miles Morales: Spider-Man #38. This has given her first appearance as a kid a boost in trend, with 12 copies tracked this week, a 7-day trend of 141%, and a high sale of $75 for a raw copy.

#12 NOVA #1 | MARVEL | 2013
Speculation is still holding out that the Sam Alexandar version of Nova will appear in the MCU as soon as the next Guardians of the Galaxy film. With his first appearance already hot in Marvel Point One #1 (2011), collectors are already jumping onto his first ongoing series. It sold 15 copies, had a 7-day trend of 136%, and had a high sale of $164.99 for a CGC 9.8

#13 NEW AVENGERS #40 | MARVEL | 2008
This issue falls from #1 last week to now #13. This was trending two weeks ago after several online sources claimed that Emilia Clarke is playing Veranke the Skrull Queen. While this remains unconfirmed, these renewed rumors lit a fire (once again) in Veranke’s first appearance in this issue, with 22 copies sold at a 7-day trend of 98% and a high sale of $55 for a raw copy.

#14 STRANGE ACADEMY #16 | MARVEL | 2022
This issue features the first full appearance of Howie, a werewolf-like character with possible ties to WEREWOLF BY NIGHT. Note that he appears in multiple panels in issue #10, which will lead to debate on whether issue #16 should even be deemed the first appearance. For now, fans are chasing this issue. We’ve tracked 11 copies, at a 7-day trend of 200%, and a high sale of $15 for a raw copy.

#15 GHOST RIDER #31 | MARVEL | 1992
Over the past several years, there have been constant rumors and speculation that a Danny Ketch-led Midnight Sons is in development for Disney+. When another online source mentions the Midnight Sons, this and issue #28, the first cameo appearance of The Midnight Sons (via a future premonition), both begin to move in the aftermarket. Over the past few years, the market has favored issue #28. However, this week it’s all about their first full appearance in Ghost Rider #31, with 18 copies sold at a 7-day trend of 100% and a high sale of $33 for a raw copy

#16 SOMETHING IS KILLING THE CHILDREN #21 – JENNY FRISON – VIRGIN BLOODY (1 PER STORE) | BOOM | 2022
Jenny Frison created four covers using the same cover art. There’s a masked version, a bloody mask version, an unmasked, and then this bloody unmasked, which was a one-per-store exclusive. Any limited SIKTC is immediately hot, and this was no different, with 31 copies sold, at a 7-day trend of 51%, and a high sale of $125 for a raw copy. The current raw FMV has settled at $68.

#17 SOMETHING IS KILLING THE CHILDREN #21 – JENNY FRISON – VIRGIN (1:50) | BOOM! STUDIOS | 2022
While folks were chasing the bloody one-per-store, this 1:50 was just as hard to find in-store. With so many SIKTC collectors, these variants don’t tend to last long. Last week, we tracked 14 copies sold, at a 7-day trend of 106%, with a high sale of $70 for a raw copy. However, raw sales have settled to an FMV of $52 (just about ratio).

#18 VOLTRON #1 | MARVEL | 1985
Per Hollywood Reporter, a “Live-Action ‘Voltron’ Movie, With Rawson Marshall Thurber to Direct, Ignites Bidding War” immediately lit a fire under this 80’s favorite first appearance in comic books. We’ve tracked 15 copies sold at a 7-day trend of 103% and a high sale of $648.67 for a CGC 9.8.

#19 ULTIMATE FALLOUT #4 | MARVEL | 2011
In 2020, Miles Morales went from a fan-favorite character to a modern-day grail character. Sales skyrocketed in such an incredible way that we had never seen for a modern character pre-Covid. This enthusiasm has extended into 2022 as we continue to hear his potential live-action appearance murmurs. This week 17 copies sold, a 7-day trend of 89%, and had a high sale of $3,375 for a CGC 9.8.

#20 BLACK PANTHER #3 | MARVEL | 2022
Tosin is hanging in there. After not appearing in issue #4, fans are itching to see more of him. Maye issue #5 next week? Regardless, we tracked 15 copies sold with a 7-day trend of 91% and a high sale of $250 for a CGC 9.8.
