Poyo’s FOC Highlight Books for Last Call April 10th/11th 2022 ?

I’m a big fan of Spider-Man 2099 so I’ll definitely be picking up Spider-Man 2099 Exodus #1.

Spider-Punk #2 (of 5) will be the cover that is classified as possibly “inapproprite” columns now and forever. But I’ve heard good things about this title so far, it’s on the to-read list.

Moon Knight #11 is a must. I also love this cover which most of the regular covers for this series have been pretty kick ass.

Can’t afford the original? Well, Moon Knight #1 Facsimile Edition is the next best thing.

I always enjoy Sam Wilson as Captain America so Captain America Symbol of Truth #1 is on my check out list. Hoping for a good read a minimum.

Gambit #1 (of 5) gets his own title. I’m not a big Gambit fan but I did or do enjoy Claremont’s writing, so that might capture some old school Claremont fans to seek this one out.

Twig #1 (of 5) (Cover A – Strahm) – I read it. It’s good but nothing spectacular I think. The art is amazing though. I wouldn’t go heavy on this one, particularly with all the store exclusives. This one will find love if it ever gets optioned and turns into some type of show, pending the rest of the story as it’s starting off as a mini-series. I sense if it does well, might go the way of Canto unless they decide to just make it ongoing.

Grim #1 (Cover A – Flaviano) is a new Stephanie Phillips book out from BOOM!. Lots of covers, BOOM! going to act like BOOM! more than likely but here’s to hoping it’s a good read.

Archer & Armstrong Forever #1 (Cover A – Chang) is back with a new title and series. These have actually been decent reads in the past.

Dogs of London #1 (Cover A – Clarke) sounds interesting. Almost got a Pet Sematary feel to it but with a twist.

Blind Alley #1 (of 5) (Cover A – Irra) is a new Behemoth title. Could be hit or miss, the story has to be up to par to get past the first issue.

Code 45 #1 (of 5) is a new Scout title. It’s gonna be hit or miss, but probably worthy of checking out for the read.

Batman Beyond the White Knight #1 (of 8) (2nd Ptg Cover A – Sean Murphy) gets the second print treatment, since you know, the flub on the first print regular that got shorted. I don’t anticipate any heat but if you missed the first issue, grab this one.
