Poyo’s FOC Highlight Books for Last Call April 10th/11th 2022 ?

FOC is the last chance to put in your orders with your comic shops and likely get at a discount for pre-ordering.

Marvel has no additional printings this week. Not sure if that’s a good thing or bad thing..

I’m a big fan of Spider-Man 2099 so I’ll definitely be picking up Spider-Man 2099 Exodus #1.

Spider-Man 2099 Exodus #1 (Lee Fortnite Variant)
Spider-Man 2099 Exodus #1 (Ron Lim Connecting Variant)
Spider-Man 2099 Exodus #1 (Lashley 2099 Frame Variant)

Spider-Man 2099 Exodus #1

Spider-Punk #2 (of 5) will be the cover that is classified as possibly “inapproprite” columns now and forever. But I’ve heard good things about this title so far, it’s on the to-read list.

Spider-Punk #2 (of 5) (Ba Variant)
Spider-Punk #2 (of 5) (Christopher Skrull Variant) – Love this cover!

Spider-Punk #2 (of 5)

Moon Knight #11 is a must. I also love this cover which most of the regular covers for this series have been pretty kick ass.

Moon Knight #11 (Manna Skrull Variant)
Moon Knight #11 (Ruan Aapi Heritage Variant)
Moon Knight #11 (Liefeld Variant) – Actually not a bad Liefeld but of course, he made sure to not have to draw feet on it.

Moon Knight #11

Can’t afford the original? Well, Moon Knight #1 Facsimile Edition is the next best thing.

Gambit #1 (of 5) gets his own title. I’m not a big Gambit fan but I did or do enjoy Claremont’s writing, so that might capture some old school Claremont fans to seek this one out.

Gambit #1 (of 5) (Lee Variant)
Gambit #1 (of 5) (Williams Variant)

Gambit #1 (of 5)

Twig #1 (of 5) (Cover A – Strahm) – I read it. It’s good but nothing spectacular I think. The art is amazing though. I wouldn’t go heavy on this one, particularly with all the store exclusives. This one will find love if it ever gets optioned and turns into some type of show, pending the rest of the story as it’s starting off as a mini-series. I sense if it does well, might go the way of Canto unless they decide to just make it ongoing.

Twig #1 (of 5) (Cover C – Momoko)

Dogs of London #1 (Cover A – Clarke) sounds interesting. Almost got a Pet Sematary feel to it but with a twist.

Dogs of London #1 (Cover A - Clarke)

Blind Alley #1 (of 5) (Cover A – Irra) is a new Behemoth title. Could be hit or miss, the story has to be up to par to get past the first issue.

Blind Alley #1 (of 5) (Cover A - Irra)

Code 45 #1 (of 5) is a new Scout title. It’s gonna be hit or miss, but probably worthy of checking out for the read.

Code 45 #1 (of 5)

Batman Beyond the White Knight #1 (of 8) (2nd Ptg Cover A – Sean Murphy) gets the second print treatment, since you know, the flub on the first print regular that got shorted. I don’t anticipate any heat but if you missed the first issue, grab this one.

Batman Beyond the White Knight #1 (of 8) (2nd Ptg Cover A - Sean Murphy)

Batman #123 (Cover A – Howard Porter) has some cool variants which includes a Otto regular open order and then a Jock that’s a 1:50.
