CovrPrice.Com Runners-Up for Week of 9/23/22

As promised, the Covrprice.com runners-up list. The second half of the Top 20.

#11 AMAZING FANTASY #1000 HUMBERTO RAMOS D23 60 YEARS | MARVEL | 2022
Three exclusive covers were offered to attendees of the Marvel Comics: Celebrating 60 Years of the Amazing Spider-Man D23 panel. They were only available while supplies lasted. There was a 60th anniversary cover with Mickey and various Marvel characters, a 100th anniversary cover with Spider-Man and Mickey & Friends, and then an ultra-rare black & white version of the 100-year cover. For the 60-year variant, we tracked 7 copies sold, at a 7-day trend of 123% with a high sale of $335 for a raw copy. This all takes us back to 2019 when Marvel did this for D23 and produced the first appearance of Mickey Mouse with Marvel characters on the cover of Marvel Comics #1000. Congrats to those willing to face the D23 craze, wait in exceptionally long lines, and attend the Spider-Man panel. Obtaining these was no easy feat.

#12 AMAZING FANTASY #1000 HUMBERTO RAMOS D23 100 YEARS | MARVEL | 2022
As detailed above, these comics were released as an exclusive to attendees of the Marvel Comics: Celebrating 60 Years of the Amazing Spider-Man D23 panel. This is the 100th-anniversary cover, and we tracked 6 copies sold, at a 7-day trend of 103%, with a high sale of $325 for a raw copy.

#13 BONE ORCHARD: BLACK FEATHERS #1 MIKE DEL MUNDO (1:100) | IMAGE | 2022
Creators Jeff Lemire and Andrea Sorrentino deliver a new story in the Blood Orchard mythos. This particular book features a chilling cover illustrated by the infamous Mike Del Mundo. The 1:100 incentive ratio is very tough for most stores to qualify for, hence its high market value. We tracked 9 copies at a 7-day trend of 98%, with a high sale of $110 for a raw copy.

#14 EDGE OF SPIDER-VERSE #3 KRIS ANKA DESIGN (1:10) | MARVEL | 2022
Each of the new Edge of Spider-Verse books has debuted new multiversal characters. In this third issue, we see the debut of Night-Spider! We see Felica Hardy modeling her new spider-verse costume in the 1:10 design variant by Anka. We tracked 36 copies sold, at a 7-day trend of 103% with a high sale of $16 for a raw copy.

#15 SPAWN #1 | IMAGE | 1992
Spawn is one of the most beloved modern comic characters. Driven by nostalgia and McFarlane fans, his first appearance remains the BEST and most consistent aftermarket seller year after year. This week, his reign continues with 35 copies sold, at a 7-day trend of 101%, and a high sale of $217.50 for a CGC 9.8. A raw NM FMV copy of this book sells for $43.

#16 | MARVEL | 1991
Watch out, Spawn! Darkhawk is coming up the list! What started as a joke collector’s item has ended up gaining serious interest. Back in April, James Gunn tweeted a reply that Darkhawk was almost a part of Guardians of the Galaxy 2. In fact, some fans still speculate that Darkhawk might appear in the MCU within the next couple of years. We tracked 18 copies sold, a 7-day trend of 122%, and had a high sale of $225 for a CGC 9.8.

#17 BATMAN #127 INHYUK LEE (1:25) | DC | 2022
The origin of Failsafe was an issue that a few had their eye on already. However, this beautiful ratio cover by Lee is what fans are hunting down. Catwoman graces this cover with her elegance. We tracked 24 copies sold, at a 7-day trend of 88%, with a high sale of $22 for a raw copy.

#18 SPIDER-MAN #1 TODD MCFARLANE REGULAR | MARVEL | 1990
Perhaps one of the most iconic covers in Spider-Man and Todd McFarlane’s time at Marvel, this book is finally picking up speed! This issue started the wealth of homage covers we have today. Additionally, this is the first issue in which McFarlane began to hide Felix the Cat drawings in his artwork. The reason behind this is quite interesting, and McFarlane details this in his blog. We will probably see an uptick of McFarlane covers as we get closer to McFarlane’s in-house signing with CGC. We tracked 22 copies sold, at a 7-day trend of 85%, with a high sale of $130 for a CGC 9.8. FMV for a raw NM copy is currently $36. Not bad for what was a $1 book for over two decades.

#19 ULTIMATE FALLOUT #4 | MARVEL | 2011
A long-standing rumor has been that the MCU has already cast Miles Morales and a movie is on the way. This rumor has been floating around since 2020. However, since the introduction of the Multiverse, we may likely see a live-action Miles Morales sooner than we think. Is this the reason this book has seen a higher sell rate? Or is it because Miles Morales is set to debut in the ACROSS THE SPIDER-VERSE epic? Regardless, collectors used last week to pick up a good amount of the original cover A, Ultimate Fallout #4. We tracked 17 copies sold, at a 7-day trend of 109%, with a high sale of $2,300 for a CGC 9.8.

#20 AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #4 | MARVEL | 2014
Coming in at last place of our runner-ups, we have the first full appearance of Silk! Ever since the announcement of Silk’s show being filmed for Amazon Prime, we have not had much of any other updates. However, in the early weeks of June, producers Phil Lord and Christopher Miller announced that big news was coming for Silk. As fans anticipate what this news may be, they are taking advantage of the softer market trends and are picking up these books at a bargain! We tracked 15 copies sold at a 7-day trend of 82%, with a high sale of $250 for a CGC 9.8.
