Welcome to this weeks spec and picks. This is where we pick the winners each week we (or shall I say myself) think will be spec worthy, a great read or just cool looking art on the cover.
This is my first spec post since November 1st, 2022. Has it been that long?
Marvel Picks
Bloodline Daughter of Blade #1 will be a decent pickup I think. We’ll see more and more of this character more than likely.
Bloodline Daughter of Blade #1 (1:25 Gonzales Variant)
Bloodline Daughter of Blade #1 (1:50 Edge Variant)
Bloodline Daughter of Blade #1 (1:100 Wolf Virgin Cover)
Bloodline Daughter of Blade #1 (Ron Lim Variant)
Bloodline Daughter of Blade #1 (Wolf Variant)
Bloodline Daughter of Blade #1 (Zullo Variant)
Bloodline Daughter of Blade #1 (Stegman Cover)
Bloodline Daughter of Blade #1 (Blank Variant)
I think these are long term holds, people will seek these out later like the hip hop variants one day. I’m taking about the Miles Morales Spider-Man #3 (Graffiti Variant). Great covers for you graffiti art lovers.
Just noticed Miles Morales Spider-Man #1 (Graffiti Variant) and Miles Morales Spider-Man #2 (Graffiti Variant) are both back in stock at TFAW which I think were previously sold out for a while.
Star Wars Sana Starros #1 is a must. I think this character is going to stick around for a while and will show up in a show or movie one day. You can still get her first appearance (Star Wars #4) for relatively cheap.
Star Wars Sana Starros #1 (Black History Month Variant)
Star Wars Sana Starros #1 (Pichelli Variant)
Star Wars Sana Starros #1 (Lashley Variant)
DC Picks
Just a bunch of one shots it seems this week. Nothing really stands out. Buy what you like and what you want to read perhaps..
Indie and Small Publisher Picks
Where Monsters Lie #1 is a new Kyle Starks book from Dark Horse. Probably a worthy book to check out. It’s actually sold out at TFAW which is Dark Horse but plenty of copies elsewhere, including eBay.
Where Monsters Lie #1 (James Stokoe Variant Cover)
Breath of Shadows #1 is a new IDW book from the creators of Road of Bones and Sea of Sorrows that were both great reads I think.
Breath of Shadows #1 (Cover B – Barends)
Breath of Shadows #1 (Cover C – 10 Copy Francavilla Variant)
There is also the additional prints of Eight Billion Genies for those who didn’t buy and want to catch up on reading this title:
Eight Billion Genies #1 (of 8) (5th Ptg)
Eight Billion Genies #2 (of 8) (5th Ptg)
Eight Billion Genies #3 (of 8) (5th Ptg)
Eight Billion Genies #4 (of 8) (4th Ptg)
Eight Billion Genies #5 (of 8) (2nd Ptg)
Eight Billion Genies #6 (of 8) (2nd Ptg)
Tales From Nottingham #1 might be a nice pickup for those on the reading bandwagon. Don’t expect any heat or spec on these, they’re indie books which if there’s any heat, most just go after the very first issue in the very first volume that introduces the characters and stories.
