Fans are still holding on to the Lobo spec! James Gunn’s viral tweet of a picture of Lobo has stirred up a lot of interest. More recently, Jeff Sneider, a reporter for Deadline, tweeted an interesting rumor: According to sources, AQUAMAN 2 is so bad that it’s the assumed reason Mamoa will be leaving his role as Aquaman and will be recast as Lobo. Take that with a grain of salt! In the meantime, Lobo’s first appearance still gets lots of love as we continue to see it pop up in our top lists. While this issue kicks off the series, it is also the first appearance of Red Monika, a prominent player in the storyline. Joe Madureira originally left the project to pursue a career as a videogame designer. However, he triumphantly returns to the series after a successful 2017 video game (based on the series) and a TV show currently in the works.
