#11: WEB OF SPIDER-MAN #1 – PACO MEDINA (1:25) | MARVEL | 2024
Spider-Man has been a superhero all-star that ran several solo titles. Ever since the debut of the spider-verse, Spidey has shared the spotlight with an ever-growing cast of spider-variants. Marvel is advertising this year as the biggest year in Spider-History. This book serves as a preview of the future stories we’ll see throughout the year. The regular covers have remained at cover price, but this retailer incentive has increased in value just five days after hitting the shelves! It makes sense; Medina illustrated an epic combination of spider-verse characters. The highly animated style is the perfect way to show the spider-verse team leaping into action, and fans are all for it! We tracked 46 copies sold, at a 7-day trend of X%, with a high sale of $60 for a raw NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $40.

#12: MARVEL COMICS PRESENTS #72 | MARVEL | 1991
Disney+ released the first two episodes of X-Men ‘97 to massive fanfare! Out of all the X-Men, Wolverine is a staple of the team. We also recently saw the launch of WEAPON X-MEN, which sees a multiverse of Weapon Xs teaming together to stop a new version of Onslaught. For those who want to see where it all began, this book is where the Weapon X storyline begins! We tracked 16 copies sold, at a 7-day trend of 12%, with a high sale of $180 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current raw NM FMV of $17.

#13: EDGE OF SPIDER-VERSE #1 – SURPRISE | MARVEL | 2024
This book made its mark in spider-lore when it debuted Weapon VIII. Weapon VIII is the codename of a spider-powered individual that was a successful result of the experiments that eventually created Weapon X (Wolverine). There are a ton of covers for this first book, but the surprise variant is currently trending. The rarity of this book is what makes it such a hot collectible for fans of key comics. Local comic shops received 1-3 copies of this surprise variant, giving it a much smaller print run than the other variants. We tracked 11 copies sold, at a 7-day trend of 19%, with a high sale of $40 for a raw copy and a current raw NM FMV of $29

#14: MARVEL TEAM-UP #1 | MARVEL | 1972
Marvel has a habit of introducing new concepts in comic books before translating them to the big screen. This is the basis of a really “out there” connection that a few speculators are making. A few weeks ago, THE SENTRY #4 was released, and no one batted an eye. The finale of the 4-part series was underwhelming for most fans of Sentry, but it did have the potential to lead into a future storyline. In the series, Reynolds dies, and his powers manifest in random individuals. One of those individuals took it upon themselves to kill all the other people to take the power for himself. He is stopped by one of these powered people, a woman named Mallory. After she defeats him, she is imbued with all the powers of the Sentry. Unsure of how to go about her new powers, Misty Knight steps in to train her and Mallory dawns the name Solarus. This premise is paired with an early rumor of the Thunderbolts, which was about Sentry being the main villain and possibly being killed off at the end of the movie. It is quite a stretch, but for fans of speculation, this book covers Misty Knight’s first unnamed appearance. Happy speculating! We tracked 11 copies sold at a 7-day trend of 13%, with a high sale of $46 for a raw VG copy and a current raw FN FMV of $45.

#15: TRANSFORMERS #1 – DANIEL WARREN JOHNSON & MIKE SPICER – REGULAR | IMAGE | 2023
Last year in June, Image introduced the Energon Universe in VOID RIVALS #1. This was a new shared universe between G.I. Joe and Transformers, released five days after Transformers: Rise of the Beasts had the same reveal. Four months later, we have the first issue of the new Transformers storyline. The series is already seven issues in and is being positively received by fans, as it is a love letter to fans of the 1980s series. This sudden uptick in sales might be due to fans finally catching up to getting a copy now that the sales weren’t as hot as it was upon release. We tracked 12 copies sold at a 7-day trend of 13%,

#16: X-MEN #4 | MARVEL | 1992
Omega Red is heralded as one of the most notorious X-Men villains. His popularity nearly made his first live appearance happen in Deadpool 2. Fans have been collecting his first appearance for years, and with the recent release of X-Men ’97, it’s back again! There aren’t really any new rumors that would indicate Omega Red’s first appearance in the animated series. There was a data mine leak of a villain list for the upcoming Wolverine video game. On that list was Omega Red. However, that was a month ago, and it wouldn’t explain why it suddenly picked up in sales this past week. This book may be trending simply because Omega Red is an iconic villain! We tracked 29 copies sold at a 7-day trend of 12%, with a high sale of $20 for a raw copy and a current raw NM FMV of $20.

#17: X-MEN ANNUAL #14 | MARVEL | 1990
X-Men has taken over our top lists this week due to the release of the animated series. Many X-Men shine in the series, and Gambit is definitely one of them! There are great fight scenes in the series, and one of the coolest moves featured in the trailers is Gambit supercharging Wolverine’s claws. There are many debates as to which issue was the first appearance of Gambit. However, this book predates UNCANNY X-MEN #266 and also features the character in 15 panels, called by name. We tracked 16 copies sold at a 7-day trend of 10%, with a high sale of $26 for a raw copy and a current raw NM FMV of $42.

#18: THE OMEGA MEN #3 | DC | 1983
It has been a slow week for comic book news. Nothing new has been released or teased about Lobo. Rumor still holds that Jason Momoa may be cast as Lobo in James Gunn’s new DCU. Since it has been a slow week for comic news, fans might be picking up speculation books while they cooled off. We tracked 11 copies sold at a 7-day trend of 10%, with a high sale of $350 for a CGC 9.8 and a current raw NM FMV of $57.

#19: EIGHT BILLION GENIES #1 – RYAN BROWNE – REGULAR | IMAGE | 2022
Earlier this month, we learned that Seth Rogen was producing a movie for this storyline. More hype to this news is that they secured Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse co-director Rodney Rothman to adapt the storyline! This is big news, and this book hit our top ten a couple of weeks ago. It looks like fans are still hyped about the news and are picking up this issue on the aftermarket. We tracked 11 copies sold at a 7-day trend of 8%, with a high sale of $127 for a CGC 9.8 and a current raw NM FMV of $29.

#20: ULTIMATE BLACK PANTHER #1 – BOSSLOGIC – ULTIMATE SPECIAL | MARVEL | 2024
The Ultimate Universe has been taking over our top lists for months! Cover A of this book is currently sitting at the #3 spot. Both the Ultimate Black Panther and Ultimate Spider-Man are in the top 5 spots. However, this book is the only variant on any of our lists. It could be due to the great artwork and also BossLogic’s large following. We tracked eight copies sold at a 7-day trend of 1%, with a high sale of $20 for a raw copy and a current raw NM FMV of $18.
