RUNNERS UP

11. Aliens Vs. Avengers #1 – Mark Brooks – Virgin (1:100)
Last week, this book sat at the #3 spot. This week, it drops to #11 but still brings in tons of aftermarket interest. It features a prominent artist and showcases two well-known aliens going toe-to-toe in battle. Cover A, which is the same cover as the trade dress, also trended last week. When it comes to the trade and virgin covers, it looks like the virgin cover is still holding strong. We tracked 6 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 61%, with a high sale of $400 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current NM raw of $230.

12. Marvel Super-Heroes Secret Wars Vol.1 #8 – Direct
A couple of weeks ago, an image was spread showing a quote from Kevin Feige. The quote read, “When we said we wanted Spider-Man to be more grounded, we just didn’t tell you that ground was from an alien planet in another universe.” This quote has been used to support old rumors that Sony wanted Spider-Man 4 to be another multiversal-hopping movie. In addition to these rumors, it was also said that Venom and the symbiotes would play a role in that storyline. Again, these are all unsupported rumors, but it is enough for fans to continue picking up this symbiote suit key! We tracked 28 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 12%, with a high sale of $600 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current VF raw of $158

13. Ice Cream Man #1 – Frazer Irving – Cover B
Sony has successfully secured the rights to ICE CREAM MAN through their label, Screen Gems. All-star team Alfred Gough and Miles Millar (Wednesday, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice) will produce the adaptation. There is no word on whether this will be a film or a series. The series was a massive hit when it debuted. It was rumored to be considered for a Hollywood adaptation for years now. It looks like the deal was finally settled, and the supernatural horror will be seeing the live-action treatment! We tracked six copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 2%, with a high sale of $185 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current NM raw of $30.

14. Star Trek #500 – Chris Fenoglio – Cover RI (1:10)
Star Trek has a huge following, and this book shows that off! 500 is a big issue number to hit, and it was celebrated with a 1:10 retailer incentive cover. The cover is a wrap-around cover that showcases tons of Star Trek collectibles and comic covers. It so happens that the release of this monumental issue is only days away from Star Trek Day 2024. Resisting this issue is futile! We tracked ten copies sold at a 7-day growth trend of 3% with a high sale of $15 for an NM copy and a current NM raw of $11.

15. Infamous Iron Man #1
It seems that Marvel is up to their old tricks again. Perhaps in honesty or in hopes of misleading fan theories, Robert Downey Jr has said that he will not be playing a Stark variant. Rather, he will be playing the character Victor Von Doom. However, in the age of the multiverse, it is hard to believe this wasn’t said with the intention to mislead. Regardless of what happens with RDJ and Doom, this book is back at it again! It was the #1 popular speculator’s choice when the casting was announced. Who knows if it will reach those numbers again? Fans are preparing just in case! We tracked 22 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 36%, with a high sale of $203 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current NM raw of $48.

16. Fantastic Four Vol.1 #244
Now that filming is in full gear, expect a ton of leaks and rumors about the Fantastic Four: First Steps film. The latest news came last week when a set photo of the filming was leaked. It showed Vanessa Kirby, Pedro Pascal, and who fans believe to be Frankie Raye. Raye is also another herald of Galactus, which has been touted as the main villain of the film. Given that it is early in filming, many things could still change. This small glimpse was enough to kick this book’s sales into high gear! We tracked seven copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 33%, with a high sale of $20 for an NM copy and a current FN raw of $24.

17. The Uncanny X-Men Vol.1 #266
We’re back at it again! Gambit has been a huge fan favorite since Channing Tatum brought the character to life in Deadpool & Wolverine. In this slow comic news period, fans are returning to the latest blockbuster. The rest of the runner-ups show that the fandom has reignited their passion for the film as we see those top keys resurface once again! We tracked 19 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 32%, with a high sale of $634 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current NM raw of $174.

18. Gambit Vol.1 #1
Another top seller when Deadpool & Wolverine debuted has returned to our lists! This time, the 1st Gambit solo series has reached the runner-ups. Fans of Gambit who don’t want the high entry cost of collecting the character’s keys have been chasing this cover. It is a low-cost entry to collecting Gambit, and it features an amazing cover with gold foil. We tracked 11 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 18%, with a high sale of $149 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current NM raw of $19.

19. The Uncanny X-Men Vol.1 #251
Deadpool & Wolverine refuse to die. The film that inspired these comic books to soar is back at it again! This book was a top seller when the film debuted, thanks to Deadpool’s multiversal hopping. During this scene, Deadpool arrives in an alternate universe where this cover is perfectly replicated on screen. The book is not a hard find and is relatively low-priced for a piece of MCU magic! We tracked 16 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 10%, with a high sale of $200 for a CGC 9.6 copy and a current FN raw of $28.

20. The New Mutants Vol.1 #98 – Rob Liefeld – Regular
With all the Deadpool & Wolverine books reemerging, it makes sense that the merc-with-a-mouth’s first appearance would also see more traction. Deadpool has always been a popular character in comic books. However, Ryan Reynolds taking on the mantle of Deadpool has caused him to become mainstream in nearly all media. His portrayal of the mercenary was like watching the character leap off the pages of the comic book (not you, Wolverine: Origins Deadpool). We all hope to see more of Marvel Jesus in future MCU multiversal stories! We tracked 23 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 1%, with a high sale of $1300 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current NM raw of $320.
