TOP 10

1 Spawn #1 – Todd McFarlane – Regular
Spawn dominated the aftermarket this week, with 110 copies sold! SPAWN #1 usually has consistent weekly sales, totaling between 30-40 copies on the aftermarket. However, it habitually makes a huge leap onto our Top Ten list whenever news hits. Why the massive jump this week? Two weeks ago, Todd McFarlane announced that he would return to full writing responsibilities on the series, beginning with SPAWN #360, debuting on Jan. 1st, 2025. A quick browse through a few comic book sites will show just how much hype this generates. Any headlines related to Spawn highlight this news, with fans eagerly awaiting the series’ new direction. Not to mention, Spawn movie talks are still floating around online, even if we haven’t gotten an update on production yet. Regardless, Spawn is a timeless character with a loyal following that can generate tons of heat on the aftermarket! We tracked a 7-day growth trend of 21% with a high sale of $169 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current NM raw price of $21.

2 Venom War #5 – Iban Coello – Regular
The highly anticipated ALL-NEW VENOM #1 debuted last week, ending with four suspects about the identity of the new Venom host. However, two weeks ago, VENOM WAR #5 had an explosive debut of a new Venom symbiote, Eganrac, the Anti-Carnage. The All-Gold symbiote featured on this cover had a brief moment of heroism before soon being left for dead. In order to protect Dylan, the new Venom symbiote left its host. When we see it last, it is having a conversation with the original host, Eddie Brock, about making a deal for their mutual survival. Fast forward to last week’s release. We have a time gap between these final moments and the reveal of this All-New Venom! This new arc will be a fun story to read as we all try to identify who is behind the new Venom! We tracked 43 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 200%, with a high sale of $15 for an NM+ copy and a current NM raw price of $9.

3 Batgirl #2 – Skylar Patridge (1:25)
The first time we wrote about this book was last week on our DAY AFTER WEDNESDAY review. It was highlighted as a book to keep an eye on due to the debut of a new villain, Kalden. More importantly, retailer incentive books for a key issue tend to have a habit of picking up on the aftermarket due to their increased rarity. Additionally, most fans were expecting the debut of this new villain to occur in BATGIRL #1, making the appearance in BATGIRL #2 a nice surprise. Since last week, we tracked 21 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 162%, with a high sale of $50 for an NM copy and a current NM raw price of $42.

4 Venom #39 – Carlos E. Gomez – Foreshadow
Last week, the new Venom quickly appeared in the first issue of their ALL-NEW VENOM series. Not much else was revealed about this new Venom, except that Dylan Brock was actively hunting down the new symbiote host and narrowed it down to 4 individuals in the Marvel Comics Universe. In this book, the cover marks the first time we see the new Venom and all their gold highlights. The gold likely means that the Venom symbiote is still carrying Eganrac, the Anti-Carnage. How that will come into play is still a mystery. We’ve had our eye on this book since FOC, and we’re excited to see where it goes! We tracked 20 copies sold at a 7-day growth trend of 60%, with a high sale of $25 for an NM copy and a current NM raw price of $24.

5 Galacta: Daughter Of Galactus #1
Fourteen years ago, the daughter of Galactus was revealed to the world… and that was pretty much it. There wasn’t a ton of hype behind the mini-series, and the character was left forgotten. Today, NetEase Games and Marvel have selected Galacta to narrate and be the face of the immensely popular hero FPS game, Marvel Rivals. Featuring the character in this way has sparked a new interest in the character that couldn’t come at a better time. In this current comic book time period, character popularity is mainly driven by media presence, and Galacta is a superstar. Aside from her feature in Marvel Rivals, she is currently the featured card for this month’s Season Pass on the popular card battler app, Marvel Snap. Her debut on the app was also very popular, as her card has been part of meta deck builds. It is safe to say that Galacta is reaching new heights of popularity! We tracked six copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 61%, with a high sale of $100 for a CGC 9.6 copy and a current NM raw price of $49.

6 Mark Spears Monsters #2 – Mark Spears – Ultimate Comics – Amazing Spider-Man #601 Homage (Limited 500)
Are you ready for the Monsters? They have swarmed over the last half of the Top Ten list! First off, it is an homage to the famous J Scott Campbell cover, AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 601. In place of Mary Jane, there is an equally attractive redheaded vampire. Instead of Spider-Man swinging outside the window, we see a bat flying off in the distance. The devil is in the details, with nice attention to the other props in the scene. A great store exclusive that deserves a top spot this week! We tracked 31 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 6%, with a high sale of $100 for an NM copy and a current NM raw price of $85.

7 Mark Spears Monsters #2 – Mark Spears – Bird City Comics – 2nd Print – Wizard Of Oz – Faceoff (Limited 200)
Wicked was a national phenomenon even before the debut of the film. However, the film did help take the story from Broadway to the big screen, making it available to even more fans. While the initial production was plagued with rumors and a little negativity, the film defied gravity and became a widely praised movie. Last week, a Wicked Witch variant was a top seller in our top ten for this 2nd printing. This week, the Wicked Witch goes face-to-face with Dorothy in this retailer exclusive, also limited to 200 copies. We tracked 19 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 100%, with a high sale of $65 for an NM copy and a current NM raw price of $61.

8 Mark Spears Monsters #1 – Mark Spears – 2nd Print – Trick Or Treat
f you’re looking for a mole-less 2nd print cover, this book is it! The cover may look familiar as a few weeks ago, a misprint on the cover led to a chase for the infamous “mole” cover. This book is just the regularly printed 2nd print cover of a popular first issue in the series. The current NM raw price for this book and its error variant are fairly close. So it really comes down to a matter of preference, and this week, fans chased down the mole-less cover! We tracked nine copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 61%, with a high sale of $35 for an NM copy and a current NM raw price of $32.

9 Mark Spears Monsters #2 – Mark Spears – Cover B – Spawn #1 Homage
SPAWN #1 is one of the consistently hottest aftermarket-selling comic books (as evident in today’s list!). If there ever was a pose for the prince of darkness to pay homage, this would be it! Dracula features in this stunning artwork for a cover B variant. While other variants may be increasing in cost, this book stays within an affordable range. For those who are trying to read the series without breaking the bank, this is an awesome cover to add to your collection! We tracked 14 copies sold at a 7-day growth trend of 30%, with a high sale of $35 for an NM copy and a current NM raw price of $22.

10 Mark Spears Monsters #1 – Mark Spears – Cover D – Incredible Hulk #340 Homage
Here is another phenomenal Dracula cover! This one homages McFarlane’s incredible Wolverine cover. In place of Wolverine, we have the King of Vampires, who is being held back by a priest who is holding a silver cross. The artwork is remarkable and, for fans of Marvel homages, a must-have to add to your monster collection (pun intended). We tracked seven copies sold at a 7-day growth trend of 31%, with a high sale of $51 for an NM copy and a current NM raw price of $41.
