RUNNERS UP
11 Superman #712
With the first trailer for Superman, we got the confirmation we would see Krypto in some capacity. His major keys shot up immediately, but now some of his lesser stuff is catching some heat. This story is heavy, with Krypto struggling with the absence of Superboy, who he later realizes died in the Arctic. The similarities to the trailer are obvious and a deep cut for Krypto fans! We tracked eight copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 152%, with a high sale of $31 for an NM copy and a current NM raw price of $14.
12 Crossed #0
A few months back, it was announced this series was getting an adaptation, and Garth Ennis had finished the screenplay. Not much has come out since, but it landed firmly on collectors’ radar after the news broke. The movement has been steady, as this has been a project fans have wanted to see adapted for years. With Ennis at the helm, confidence in its release has been high. We tracked eight copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 23%, with a high sale of $400 for a CGC 9.6 copy and a current NM raw price of $39.
13 Absolute Batman #1 – Nick Dragotta – Regular
The series just keeps getting better. As fans continue to pick up this run, a ton will inevitably aim to secure the first issue. Some heat has left this book, but the movement is healthy for a modern comic! We tracked 38 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 11% with a high sale of $110 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current NM raw price of $37.
14 The Omega Men Vol.1 #3
This book flashed right after the news broke that Jason Mamoa would finally get to play Lobo. But we’re at a weird time in the market being post-announcement and pre-trailer appearance. Numerous collectors are keeping their copies close, but there is still plenty of excitement surrounding Lobo’s first appearance. We tracked 30 copies sold at a 7-day growth trend of 13%, with a high sale of $274 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current NM raw price of $131.
15 Storm #4 – Netease – Marvel Rivals
Marvel has stuck gold with this Marvel Rivals tie-in series of books. The fanbase for the game is growing by the day, and it’s spilling into our neck of the woods. With Marvel delivering covers spotlighting different characters and factions from the game, there was bound to be some collector crossover! We tracked 13 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of + 5%, with a high sale of $30 for an NM copy and a current NM raw price of $25.
16 The Amazing Spider-Man Vol.1 #194 – Newsstand
The first appearance of Black Cat will always be a key book. She has a massive history with Spider-Man and has her own dedicated fanbase. Recently, rumors have been swirling around Anya Taylor-Joy playing the character in some version of Spider-Man 4. There’s also been a video floating around online of Black Cat as a playable character in Marvel Rivals that hit the internet at the beginning of the week in which this data was compiled. This could be a potential spill-over heat or a good week for the book! We tracked 24 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 14%, with a high sale of $940 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current NM raw price of $231.
17 Pinupocalypse #1 – Sveta Shubina (1:25)
This book flashed when it debuted a couple of weeks ago, even popping up on our Top Ten list twice last week. It’s starting to settle dramatically, but this book is standing out for a second week. Part of that is thanks to it being one of the favored, more readily available, yet limited variants. We tracked eight copies sold at a 7-day growth trend of 28% with a high sale of $136 for an NM copy and a current NM raw price of $112.
18 Mark Spears Monsters #3 – Mark Spears – Cover H – The Fighter (1:25)
The hits just keep on coming! Mark Spears is knocking it out of the park. Collectors are showing up for anything he’s attached to, and his Monsters series has led the pack. It’s giving collectors what they want, and each subsequent issue builds upon the fun. Again, this book lands in the sweet spot, with limited availability and an epic cover for collectors to track down. We tracked 24 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 17%, with a high sale of $39 for a NM copy and a current NM raw price of $30.
19 Star Wars: A New Legacy #1 – Leinil Francis Yu (1:25)
Some big names are back in the Star Wars game with this book. Collectors have been looking forward to it, but it has limited variants to choose from, and this book caught my eye. Most LCS likely wouldn’t order the required books to get the 1:50, but this version lands in the sweet spot of availability. We tracked 12 copies sold at a 7-day growth trend of 100%, with a high sale of $35 for an NM copy and a current NM raw price of $33.
20 Hulk #1 – Ed McGuinness – Regular
Fans are ready to see Red Hulk on the big screen! Come on, it’s Harrison freakin’ Ford as the big red meathead, and from the snippets we’ve seen, it looks glorious. Since it was initially rumored he would take on the role, fans have been circling this book as it’s the first cover/appearance of Red Hulk. With the film right around the corner, there’s a last burst of movement before it hits theatres. We tracked 28 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 25%, with a high sale of $220 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current NM raw price of $74.
