RUNNERS UP
11 Earth X Vol.1 #12
A while back, it was announced that Julia Garner would play Shalla-Bal, a Herald of Galactus, in The Fantastic Four: First Steps. Fans were understandably disappointed that we didn’t receive confirmation that Norrin Radd, the Silver Surfer and Herald of Galactus, would appear. However, rumors have been circulating for months that he potentially could. Still, his first appearance is big money, and this book features the first appearance of Shalla-Bal in cameo and cover for much cheaper. Some fans have been opting to go with what they know. We tracked 20 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 45%, with a high sale of $229 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current NM raw price of $38.
12 Absolute Wonder Woman #1 – Hayden Sherman – Regular
While Absolute Batman has been receiving the market share of attention out of the trio of “Absolutes,” Wonder Woman has been a contender. This series is turning a whole new audience onto the character, realizing how much of a force Diana can be. It’s been a stellar read, and collectors have been revisiting the first issue in the series. It hasn’t hit quite the same heights, but this book has been remarkably consistent. We tracked 27 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 54%, with a high sale of $65 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current NM raw price of $13.
13 Fantastic Four #28 – Peach Momoko – Marvel Rivals
The Marvel Rivals tie-in comics have been hot lately, thanks to the game’s growing popularity. When you throw a big name like Peach Momoko at the title to deliver a killer variant, fans will take notice. Hence, this book, with her passionate fanbase, shows up big time to secure this cutesy cover featuring the Marvel Rivals mascot(?) Jeff the Land Shark. We tracked 35 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 27%, with a high sale of $60 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current NM raw price of $10.
14 Fantastic Four #49
This book would likely be higher on this list if it weren’t so expensive. But it has been for a long time. It features the first appearance of Galactus and the second of Silver Surfer. It’s also the first time they share a cover. That’s a whole lot of history in one book, and collectors are paying up big time to secure it. With The Fantastic Four: First Steps, we’ll likely see more keys like this working up this list. We tracked 23 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 22%, with a high sale of $4,750 for a CGC 9.2 copy and a current VG raw price of $626
15 The Incredible Hulk Vol.1 #449
Fan reaction toward Captain America: Brave New World has been pretty tepid. Most have already pivoted to the next film on the horizon, Thunderbolts*. This book features their first appearance, albeit a different lineup than its film counterpart. With the most recent trailer footage during the Super Bowl, fans have opted to revisit this book. We tracked 28 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 23%, with a high sale of $275 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current NM raw price of $75.

The most powerful Marvel hero to ever be forgotten, the Sentry is set to make his big-screen debut in Thunderbolts*. On the flip side of that, we are also set to see Void, the Sentry’s galactic-level threat alter ego. Despite being a big-screen character now, Sentry has never been a known commodity. His first appearance in this book has always been a tricky title to track down, but fans are making a concerted effort and have been for months. We tracked 22 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 14%, with a high sale of $300 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current NM raw price of $82.

19 Spawn #1 – Todd McFarlane – Regular
Spawn isn’t just the King of hell; he’s the king of the aftermarket! Despite not being a crazy expensive book, the intro book for his solo series has routinely landed on this list. It constantly leads the list of most traded, bought, and sold books out there. With its low barrier of entry and crazy print run, nearly everyone who dips a toe in this hobby has a copy or is liable to pick one up. 20 Venom: Lethal Protector Vol.1 #1 – Regular
Venom is one of the most popular characters of all time. He’s gotten a ton of attention in comics for years now and has a trilogy, toy lines, you name it. Well, this book had a heavy hand in launching that fandom. As the first book in his own solo series, it’s also an iconic foil cover that fans have enjoyed for decades. It’s no surprise to see it on this list, and it is quickly falling into the same conversation as Spawn #1. We tracked 34 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 19%, with a high sale of $124 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current NM raw price of $27.
