The Top 10
1 All-New Venom #5 – John Tyler Christopher – 2025 C2E2 – Mary Jane Negative Space
Kicking off our Top Ten list is John Tyler Christopher’s Mary Jane negative space variant. This was an extremely hyped-up cover leading up to C2E2. The book was originally sold for $20 but has blown up on the aftermarket. It is a hot trending book and is also growing in value. Negative space variants have been a popular cover to chase, and Mary Jane is always a superstar in the front of a comic. In addition to being a hot cover, it is also the issue where it is revealed that the new venom is none other than MJ! We tracked 123 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 100%, with a high sale of $120 for an NM+ raw copy and a current raw NM FMV of $136.
2 Hellverine #5 – Alessandro Cappuccio – Hell Hulk
Hellverine was a massive hit, so why not build off of the hype for “Hell” variants? This issue of Hellverine’s 2nd run includes a quick look at a new Hell hero, Hell Hulk! A brief glimpse into the creature is seen in the last panel, and he makes his explosive debut on the cover of this variant. It marks his first cover appearance, soon to be followed by his first full in-story debut! We tracked 38 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 72%, with a high sale of $54 for a CGC 9.8 raw copy and a current raw NM FMV of $13.
3 Marvel Rivals #1 – Peach Momoko – 2025 C2E2 – Trinity Comics – Virgin (Limited 888)
Momoko strikes again with a beautiful Psylocke cover in her signature style. This isn’t Psylocke’s first cover on the MARVEL RIVALS series, but it is currently her most expensive cover. It also has a trade copy that made the Top Ten. These covers were originally available in person at Trinity Comics’ booth. A trade and virgin combo were offered on their website, behind password-protection, for $59.99. Those sets quickly sold out and the only way to track down one of these beauties is on the aftermarket! We tracked 12 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 100%, with a high sale of $200 for an NM raw copy and a current raw NM FMV of $151. It is important to note that CovrPrice tracks individual sales of the trade and virgin cover separately. Bundle sales of both these covers are not incorporated into the FMV of each individual issue.
4 Mark Spears Monsters #4 – Mark Spears – 2025 C2E2 – ComicTom101 (Limited 200)
Mark Spears is at it again! In fact, he has several covers trending on the Top Ten this week, thanks to C2E2. Spears released 12 covers for C2E2 but only four were of the new issue of MONSTERS, which doesn’t hit stores until April 23rd! The hype for his covers is real, but so is the hype for a new issue in the series. Collectors were able to purchase this cover through the Whatnot app, which immediately hit the aftermarket for preorder sales. Fans went crazy for these covers and racked up the FMV extremely quickly. For the rest of us, the next issue in the series will be released next week! We tracked 12 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 100%, with a high sale of $252 for an NM raw copy and a current raw NM FMV of $215.
5 Mark Spears Monsters #1 – Mark Spears – 2025 C2E2 – Davis Rider Comics – 4th Print – McFarlane Homage – Red Blood Web (Limited 300)
In a true homage to the SPIDER-MAN 1 cover, Mark Spears also released a gold and silver edition of this cover. These variants were also obtained through the Whatnot app. The big seller of the trio belongs to the blood-red web cover! While the gold cover is soaring in value, this book has been moving a lot faster on the aftermarket. It could be that this was limited to 300 instead of 50, like the gold. Or it could be due to Blood Red being a perfect backdrop to the iconic vampire. We tracked 12 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 100%, with a high sale of $195 for an NM raw copy and a current raw NM FMV of $164.
6 All-New Venom #5 – John Tyler Christopher – 2025 C2E2 – Venom Black Foil
Another great John Tyler Christopher cover is trending after C2E2! This is also the same issue as our #1 spot. Instead of featuring the alluring all-star MJ, this is a zoomed-in look at the vicious Venom. It is a gorgeous design, and the cover is even sported in foil for that extra shine. Attendees were able to grab a copy of this book at $30, but it quickly soared in the aftermarket! We tracked 19 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 100%, with a high sale of $65 for an NM+ raw copy and a current raw NM FMV of $59.
7 Star Wars #1 – Jerry Ordway – 2025 Facsimile (1:25)
What’s better than an exact replica facsimile cover? A brand new one that pays homage to one of the greatest villains to ever be created. This 1:25 retailer incentive is blowing up on the aftermarket as everyone is trying to add it to their Darth Vader collection. It is quickly growing in popularity, even with all the C2E2 covers competing for a top spot! We tracked 16 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 14%, with a high sale of $52 for a NM raw copy and a current raw NM FMV of $30.
8 Batman: The Dark Knight #3
We live in a time where anything can happen in the comic cinematic universe. For example, news that Brey Noelle will be joining the insanity that is Peacemaker. This casting rumor was confirmed a couple of weeks ago by Noelle herself. This casting must have been a hit because this book has been flying off the shelves. While versions of her character were introduced in other books (ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN #500 & BATMAN: THE DARK KNIGHT #1), this is her first and most iconic cover appearance! We tracked 27 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 123%, with a high sale of $24 for a VF raw copy and a current raw FN FMV of $6.
9 Mark Spears Monsters #1 – Mark Spears – 2025 C2E2 – Key City Comics – 4th Print – Wicked Witch Of The South
Another 4th print Mark Spears cover makes the Top Ten! If you thought the Wicked Witch of the West and East were all there were, here’s a surprise for you. The Wicked Witch of the South makes her MONSTERS debut on this 4th print cover. Unlike the other MONSTERS variants that went for sale on Whatnot, this book was available at a booth at C2E2 with no online option for purchase. This exclusivity has translated to explosive aftermarket sales! We tracked 16 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 100%, with a high sale of $120 for an NM+ raw copy and a current raw NM FMV of $106.
10 Marvel Rivals #1 – Peach Momoko – 2025 C2E2 – Trinity Comics (Limited 1999)
Just like the virgin version of this cover, this book was originally only available in person to C2E2 attendees. It was also part of a bundle set offered on Trinity Comics’ website. While the Virgin option did not sell separately, the trade version is currently listed on Trinity Comics’ website for $29.99 (although it is sold out). Both of Momoko’s variants have been extremely popular for collectors of her artwork, Psylocke, or simply fans of Marvel Rivals the game! We tracked 12 copies sold at a 7-day growth trend of 100%, with a high sale of $100 for an NM+ raw copy and a current raw NM FMV of $62. It is important to note that CovrPrice tracks individual sales of the trade and virgin cover separately. Bundle sales of both these covers are not incorporated into the FMV of each individual issue.
