The Top 10

1 Pop Kill #3 – Adam Hughes
Whether it is the retro art style or the jugs of cola, fans are loving this Pop Kill cover! Adam Hughes is a star when it comes to comic book covers, but this one really struck a chord among collectors. What is crazy is that this is an open-order cover, which has been selling in high volumes. The book has not even been out for a full week, and it has already taken the number one spot on our list. And it is still trending upward! What an unpredictable hobby! We tracked 58 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 148%, with a high sale of $17 for an NM raw copy and a current raw NM FMV of $14.

2 Wolverine #8 – Daniel Warren Johnson – 2nd Print – Virgin (1:25)
The fans love Adamantine! Either that or this badass throwback cover to the Frank Miller era of Wolverine is resonating with collectors. Daniel Warren Johnson has also been a popular name lately, releasing books like DO A POWERBOMB and THE MOON IS FOLLOWING US. The first print was a fast mover on the aftermarket, selling tons of copies and also scaling up in value. The cover was a trade version of this cover, which leads us to believe that fans are looking for that trade/virgin combo to round out their collection! We tracked 21 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 11%, with a high sale of $150 for CGC 9.8 copies and a current raw NM FMV of $138.

3 The Sentry #1 – Jae Lee – Regular
The Thunderbolts* has done something that a Marvel movie hasn’t done in a while: it has retained its place as the #1 movie in theaters! Unlike its predecessor, Captain America: Brave New World, which had a 71.8% drop in its 2nd weekend, Thunderbolts* has managed to have the 2nd lowest drop in the MCU. The smallest second-weekend drop belongs to the legendary Deadpool & Wolverine. If you’ve seen the film, you know this film sets up a ton of plots for the future of the MCU. One of those plots is none other than the future of Sentry (Robert Reynolds). He was a well-received character who will make his next debut in Secret Wars. Until then, his first appearance is lit up on the aftermarket! We tracked 28 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 43%, with a high sale of $292 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current raw NM FMV of $116.

4 Stillwater #1 – Ramon K. Perez – Regular
A couple of weeks ago, this forgotten gem might have been an easy grab for a buck or two at your local comic shop. However, since Amazon announced its desire to create a live series of this comic, this book has been a top hitter! Amazon has had top-tier success with comic properties like Invincible and The Boys. Fans see the potential of this series and have been swarming the aftermarket, landing this book on our Top Ten for a second week in a row. We tracked 59 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 26%, with a high sale of $127 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current raw NM FMV of $16.

5 The Amazing Spider-Man #546 – Steve McNiven – Regular
So many negative rumors! No, not the bad kind… sort of. If you thought speculating on Mr. Negative as the next big bad was enough, there have been tons of new rumors floating around last week. One of the rumors is an alleged leak that the costume department has been looking into samurai and shinobi-type armor pieces, also alluding to a dark, mysterious female character with a katana. The second rumor is that Daniel Wu is in final talks to secure the role of Mr. Negative in the Brand New Day film! Finally, Stephen Oyoung, the voice of Mr. Negative in Playstation’s Spider-Man game, mentioned the character having a future presence in media during a recent interview with 4GQTV. If one rumor was enough to get this book going, imagine a bunch of rumors! None of them have dropped any hard evidence, but it is still building up tons of hype for Mr. Negative’s 1st appearance in comics! We tracked 15 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 40%, with a high sale of $225 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current raw NM FMV of $28.

6 Iron Man Vol.1 #219
As Thunderbolts* wraps up its 2nd weekend, fans finally see hope in the MCU. What was once thought of as supporting characters, or even villains, now lead the #1 movie for the 2nd week in a row. While not off to the best start, the film has received tons of praise and positive reviews. It has highlighted little-known characters, like Ghost. Ghost may have appeared in Ant-Man and the Wasp, but she made her mark with this film. Just like the rest of the ensemble, fans can’t wait to see more of Ghost. Her first appearance is a trending book as we go into Thunderbolts* second weekend! We tracked 16 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 48%, with a high sale of $260 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current raw NM FMV of $20.

7 Wolverine #8 – Daniel Warren Johnson
Here is the book that caused the massive interest in the 2nd print virgin retailer incentive cover. This beautiful artwork made a big splash when it hit shelves. Fans fell in love with the artwork and the story of samurai Wolverine. It was something new and different, with a nice nostalgic throwback to a different time in Wolverine comics. While everyone is anticipating the new virgin cover, this book has not lost any heat! We tracked 34 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 6%, with a high sale of $86 for an NM raw copy and a current raw NM FMV of $52.

8 The Incredible Hulk Vol.1 #449
The Thunderbolts* movie is having its time to shine! Many reminisce about the first time we fell in love with a ragtag group of Marvel nobodies back when Guardians of the Galaxy came out. This time is a little bit different; most of these characters have already been seen in the MCU, most were antagonists, and some were outright villains. Together, though, they have seemed to bring back that MCU magic, where we root for the underdogs who are faced with a seemingly all-powerful villain. The first appearance of the Thunderbolts is a hot grab! We tracked 31 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 45%, with a high sale of $250 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current raw NM FMV of $70.

9 Inhumans Vol.2 #5
Yelena Belova was introduced into the MCU with the mixed reception of Black Widow. It was the tail end of Avengers: Endgame, and fans’ expectations were overwhelmingly high. We saw her appear in Hawkeye, but this movie was where we saw her shine. She took the stage and earned her place as the second Black Widow. Fans loved her character, and it was clear the MCU had big plans for her, leading collectors to track down her first cameo appearance in this book! We tracked 14 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 22%, with a high sale of $200 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current raw NM FMV of $44.

10 Thunderbolts Vol.1 #1 – Direct
Let’s hear it for the Thunderbolts! The film has been shining a huge light on early copies of Thunderbolt comics. Interestingly, this book doesn’t even feature the characters that make up the MCU Thunderbolts team. None of these Thunderbolts team members appear in the film. Still, it is a top trending book for the title alone. Unless fans start searching for the Regal Cinemas opening night giveaway comic… We tracked 15 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 20%, with a high sale of $78 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current raw NM FMV of $27.
