RUNNERS UP

11 Fantastic Four Fanfare #1 – Greg Land – 616 Day – Virgin (1 Per Store)
What a way to celebrate the Marvel Universe! June 16th is 616 day, as in the Universe in which the main Marvel comic continuity takes place. Naturally, Marvel had to drop a book hyping up the holiday, especially as it leads into Fantastic Four: First Steps. To top it off, they delivered these 1-per-store “616 Day” variants from Greg Land, and collectors thought it fitting to secure a copy or two. We tracked 19 copies sold at a 7-day growth trend of 100%, with a high sale of $25 for a Raw VF copy and a current raw NM FMV of $25

12 Amazing Spider-Man #2 – Sara Pichelli – 616 Day – Virgin (1 Per Store)
Another one! Another “616 Day” variant, that is! We all know the fandom loves a limited (1 per store) variant featuring one of the most popular fictional characters to ever exist. That’s Spider-Man, baby! Not to mention, Sara Pichelli joined the cause and delivered with her signature look. With supply being limited, many fans had to pivot to the aftermarket to secure a copy. We tracked 22 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 100%, with a high sale of $90 for a Raw NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $25.

13 Marvel Knights: The World To Come #1 – Joe Quesada – Regular
Fans were excited to see the return of the Marvel Knights imprint, as many collectors who reached their prime came up in the Marvel Knights era. However, the story unfolding in the first issue sparked a conversation and introduced a new character in Ketema, T’Challa’s son. It’s been a hot book since it debuted and is looking to have some longevity as more fans dip their toes back into the hobby to check it out, or those who missed out on the first round opt to secure a copy. We tracked 31 copies sold at a 7-day growth trend of 9% with a high sale of $20 for a Raw NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $14.

14 Zatanna #5 – Zoe Thorogood (1:25)
Zatanna is one of those characters who isn’t a household name but commands a dedicated fan base. Her first appearance is a coveted key for many, but out of reach. Instead, collectors love picking up these select Zatanna variants like this 1:25 from Zoe Thorogood. LCS likely wouldn’t order enough copies of this book to hit the ratio, limiting the pool. The online market is always open, and it looks like many collectors made a beeline for it last week to acquire this stellar Zatanna variant. We tracked 13 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 65%, with a high sale of $29 for a Raw NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $21.

15 Emma Frost: The White Queen #1 – Greg Land (1:25)
Greg Land was on a roll last week, lending his talents to this awesome negative space 1:25 featuring the White Queen, Emma Frost. And like Zatanna, Emma Frost has a minor but dedicated fanbase. They show up big time when limited variants like this hit the market, and they continued the trend last week. We tracked 21 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 5%, with a high sale of $40 for a Raw NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $27.

16 Fantastic Four #50 – Jack Kirby – Regular
Fantastic Four: First Steps is right around the corner. While it will feature the Silver Surfer, it’s not the one featured on this cover. While First Steps features Shalla-Bal, this is the iconic Norrin Radd Silver Surfer, done by the timeless Jack Kirby. While it’s not his first appearance or even his second, it is one of the most iconic Silver Surfer covers ever delivered. That itself has carried this book into countless personal collections across the globe, but with the debut of the Fantastic Four into the MCU proper and the promise of Galactus, a Surfer, and more, the hunt has been reignited or fanned for books such as this. We tracked 10 copies sold at a 7-day growth trend of 15%, with a high sale of $1,395 for a CGC 8.5 copy and a current raw VG FMV of $172.

17 Marvel Team-Up #14 – Cory Walker – Battle Beast Blind Bag Edition – Foil
Invincible collectors rejoiced when this book was solicited, as it’s one of the toughest from the Invincible orbit to track down in the wild. It had a very limited print run and wasn’t a coveted book for years. So, when the opportunity for collectors to secure a version of that book hit the market, they were all for it. On top of that, they made it a foil cover, which inevitably draws the eye even further. It was an excellent opportunity for fans to fill a hole in their collection, and one many are still capitalizing on. We tracked 26 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 7%, with a high sale of $177 for a CGC 9.9 copy and a current raw NM FMV of $22.

18 Invincible Universe: Battle Beast #2 – Lee Bermejo (1:100)
Now, it would be difficult for issue #2 to measure up to the release of issue #1 merely for the lack of gimmick. But then they hit the community with this killer 1:100 variant from Lee Bermejo to reel collectors back in. When Bermejo is attached to a project, fans notice, as his line of work has impressed many collectors for years now. Add him to the Battle Beast run, and completionists and average collectors alike might feel compelled to seek out a copy. We tracked six copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 11%, with a high sale of $125 for a Raw NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $110.

19 Giant-Size Dark Phoenix Saga #1 – Ivan Talavera – Virgin (1:50)
This was the variant to get from the return of Dark Phoenix and the retconning of Ms. Marvel. Ivan Talavera delivered this 1:50 virgin variant, a fitting book for the next chapter in the Dark Phoenix saga. We tracked 11 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 13%, with a high sale of $85 for a Raw NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $75.

20 Spawn #1 – Todd McFarlane – Direct
That’s right, Spawn #1 lives on this list, in your dreams, in your collection. This book is the aftermarket king and typically moves 20 copies every time Todd McFarlane takes a sharp inhale before responding to a question of some sort. This book legitimately changes hands more than Beanie Babies. It’s fitting, though, as this book marks the beginning of an empire and one that continues to evolve to this day. We tracked 22 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 17%, with a high sale of $130 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current raw NM FMV of $24.
