But, there has also been a recent rumor gaining steam that Jessica Jones will get a rebooted series. Currently, the rumor hasn’t been confirmed anywhere of repute, but it is out there. Still, Jessica Jones has fans all her own, and collectors don’t miss a chance to secure her first appearance in this book. It flew under the radar for most, but a relatively low-budget Red Sonja movie dropped in mid-August. It didn’t get a wide release, but it appears it’s garnering fans for what it is. That put a spotlight on her first ongoing series, a moderately priced entry point for collectors. Jack Kirby art featuring a stellar Dr. Doom? Yes, please! If that wasn’t enough, in this issue, Doom steals the Silver Surfer’s powers. Amongst the rumors circulating about Avengers: Doomsday, that’s been one of the more prevalent. Still, there is a large chunk of Fantastic Four books of the era doing well on the aftermarket, no matter what transpires within. We tracked 12 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 7% with a high sale of $108 for a RAW FN and a current raw VG FMV of $77.
16 The Amazing Spider-Man Vol.1 #300 – Todd McFarlane – Direct (eBay)
The rumors are flying hard and fast regarding Spider-Man: Brand New Day, with constant set leaks coming out that lead eagle-eyed viewers to strong opinions. One opinion floating around pertains to the appearance of Venom, or the black suit on Spider-Man, at least. Either way, this is a major key for most Spider-Man collectors, as it’s the consensus first full appearance of Venom. Since the next two Avengers movie titles were announced, one of which is Secret Wars, collectors have been steadily picking up the run.
