RUNNERS UP

11 Ultimate Fantastic Four #22 – Greg Land – Regular On eBay
The recent unveiling of the Marvel Zombies trailer has ignited tons of excitement among fans, showcasing an intense and graphic interpretation of the Marvel Universe’s foray into a zombie apocalypse. This animated project appears to stray from the typical upbeat MCU projects, embracing a darker aesthetic that aligns closely with the original comic book series. The preview teases unsettling portrayals of beloved heroes as undead entities, promising an epic trip into a new world in the MCU. Naturally, this has caused the first appearance of the Marvel Zombies to be on every collector’s radar! We tracked eight copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 48% with a high sale of $163 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current raw NM FMV of $15.

12 Everything Dead & Dying #1 – Sean Phillips – Tractor (1:25) On eBay
This book is off to a good start, with lots of positive reviews coming in for the series! It’s another zombie story, but a different take on the idea of “zombies”. In this story, it seems that zombies have some form of cognition, being able to be stuck in repeat patterns. It lets the main character of the story maintain his farm and the deceased, until trouble arrives. The story has received much praise, making this retailer incentive a top choice for many fans to hunt this past week! We tracked 12 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 2% with a high sale of $50 for a Raw NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $43.

13 Batman #1 – Julian Totino Tedesco – Blind Bag Foil – Error (Issue Misspelled On Back) On eBay
Blind bags have arrived to the comic book world. DC’s release of BATMAN #1 blind bags has proven to be fruitful, with fans running to the aftermarket to secure a copy of their favorite cover that they weren’t able to pull. However, this book is a pretty cool variant to pull. It’s every collector’s dream, an error copy! Looking on the back of this issue, you’ll see the word “issue” misspelled. It’s subtle but makes for a cool copy to track down! We tracked 20 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 100% with a high sale of $22 for a Raw NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $12.

14 Batman #497 On eBay
For fans who have been following ABSOLUTE BATMAN, this is a fun buy to remind us of Bane’s power. For those that don’t know, ABSOLUTE BATMAN’s next issue may be a repeat of what happened to the Dark Knight in 1993. The promotional text for ABSOLUTE BATMAN #12, releasing this week, doesn’t promise any better days for Batman. He is set to face the ultimate beatdown at the hands of Bane. Will this be a repeat of this decade-old event? If you’re a fan of spine-tingling stories, this book is a must if we’re to experience it again! We tracked nine copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 43% with a high sale of $75 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current raw NM FMV of $12.

15 Batman #Ashcan – Jorge Jimenez – 2025 SDCC On eBay
While fans are chasing blind bag variants, other fans are hunting down the original ashcan for this series. The ashcan was first handed out during SDCC for fans who attended the related panel. It was the first preview of the new series and went for a decent price on the aftermarket. After SDCC, Lunar sent out the remaining SDCC ashcans to retailers. Now that the first issue of the series is getting attention, fans are swarming the aftermarket to get that aschan! We tracked 12 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 35% with a high sale of $22 for a Raw NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $19.

16 Batman #1 – Jorge Jimenez – Blind Bag Foil On eBay
It seems like DC followed in Image’s footsteps and ran a similar blind bag promotion (like BATTLE BEAST #1). Batman is a major pull for DC, so it makes sense that they would test the waters for this new way of buying with a big character. Fans seem to enjoy chasing variants, with this Jimenez foil cover making waves in sales this past week! We tracked 12 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 100% with a high sale of $26 for a Raw NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $11.

17 Batman #1 – Gabriele Dell’Otto – Blind Bag Foil On eBay
This is another blind bag cover that fans are hunting down. As the bags get opened, more variants hit the aftermarket. Fans become the ultimate decision makers as to what variants get hot and which sit on the shelves. A ratio variant isn’t the big selling point with this type of promotion, leading fans to focus more on chasing their favorite artists. One of those artists is Dell’Otto, a modern comic book legend! We tracked eight copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 224% with a high sale of $19 for a Raw NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $17.

18 The Omega Men #3 On eBay
Lobo’s live appearance hasn’t even hit a teaser trailer yet, and rumors of a 2nd appearance are already making rounds! Fan castings came true when Jason Momoa got cast as Lobo in the new DCU. Since then, Lobo’s first appearance has been rolling on and off our lists. It likely came back stronger this week thanks to new rumors surrounding the Superman 2 film, Man of Tomorrow. Rumors were already going around that this may be more of an ensemble film, featuring Superman, Lex, and Supergirl teaming up against a huge adversary like Brainiac. However, new rumors suggest that the group could also be getting assistance from John Cena’s Peacemaker and Jason Momoa’s Lobo. Wild! We haven’t even seen Lobo, and he may already have a longstanding impact on the DCU! We tracked 11 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 12% with a high sale of $315 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current raw NM FMV of $70.

19 The New Mutants #98 – Rob Liefeld – Regular On eBay
While Ryan Reynolds hasn’t been officially confirmed for Avengers: Doomsday, a lot of fans are speculating that it is just a formality at this point. A huge amount of the cast was revealed, and Reynolds’ name was notably missing. However, fans have been searching far and wide for clues that Deadpool will return to the silver screen. Reynolds has been having fun with this, even posting an Avengers logo with a red anarchy symbol over it. He claims it was a leftover flag from Deadpool and Wolverine, but we all know how actors love to mess with the fans. Could it be something more? Who knows… until then, fans are still happy to collect Deadpool’s first appearance! We tracked 15 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 7% with a high sale of $999 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current raw NM FMV of $275.

20 Marvel Swimsuit Special: Friends, Foes & Rivals #1 – J Scott Campbell – 2nd Print – Virgin (1:25) On eBay
Summer may be over, but this swimsuit special ceases to sizzle! It fell off the Runners-Up list last week but has returned to its #20 spot. The artwork originally debuted in full color during SDCC. The same artwork was used for this 2nd print variant, but it was given the B&W treatment. Fans of JSC couldn’t get enough of this beach scene and bought enough to make it trend once more! We tracked seven copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 6% with a high sale of $75 for a Raw NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $67.
