RUNNERS UP

11 NYCC 2025 Artist Alley Zine #1 – Ryan Ottley (Limited 500) (eBay)
A “zine” is typically a self-published “look at my work” freebie created by artists when they want folks to get a better idea of what they bring to the table. Well, artist alley staple and industry titan Ryan Ottley sure got a lot of potential collectors to take a look at with this one. Limited to 500 copies, this book features Invincible characters in full Halloween festivities, and was a stellar grab for those who attended NYCC. But, with the hype surrounding Invincible, Ottley, and Image in general, it’s no surprise to see copies of this hit the market online! We tracked 16 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 100% with a high sale of $100 for a Raw NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $71.

12 Marvel/DC: Deadpool/Batman #1 – Peach Momoko – 2025 NYCC – Trinity Comics (eBay)
This Deadpool/Batman crossover has been going gangbusters! Nearly every variant has been hot, but anything Peach Momoko touches typically gets a harder look from collectors. This book saw a hefty amount of action, thanks to our two previous entries in the Top Ten. Collectors who may have missed out on those limited releases had a much better chance at acquiring this one, sans some of the exclusivity. We tracked 22 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of -100% with a high sale of $67 for a Raw NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $45.

13 The Department Of Truth #0 – Tek Javier & Flops – 2025 NYCC – TCM / Paper Wolves / Snow Drift / Sequential Art / Comic Sam – Akira Homage (Limited 300)(eBay)
This book marks the debut of Hunter Hill and the secret history of Elvis Presley. But that’s not all it has going for it! Anything associated with the Department of Truth has been seeing an uptick in interest thanks to its continued excellence. But, this book was also very limited, AND features an homage to Akira, one of the most influential works of all time. If all else fails, homage to Akira! We tracked 9 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 39% with a high sale of $100 for a Raw NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $79.

14 Heavy Metal Magazine #3 – Sveta Shubina – Massive Select (Limited 2000)(eBay)
Heavy Metal Magazine made its return this year and has been delivering some fire since. Take this exclusive featuring work from Sveta Shubina, currently one of the industry’s favorite artists. This variant oozes style and is the most limited variant for this issue currently available for the average collector. We tracked 29 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 23% with a high sale of $40 for a Raw NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $34.

15 Skinbreaker Treasury Edition #1 – David Finch & Annalisa Leoni – Regular (eBay)
Collectors were quick to hop all over this book when it debuted, including every variant released. That went to an extreme with this version, as it was the one Robert Kirkman recommended to collectors. Touted as the version that shows off David Finch’s work the best, collectors were eager to get their hands on a copy. But the market dried up in a hurry, leading to an inflated barrier to entry. Still, there are die-hards out there steadily picking up this treasury edition! We tracked 11 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 26% with a high sale of $100 for a Raw NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $74.

16 Batman #1 – Nick Dragotta – 2025 NYCC – Absolute Batman Homage – Foil (eBay)
The Absolute universe has been an astounding success, with Absolute Batman being one of the most discussed titles of the bunch. Well, Absolute Batman artist Nick Dragotta got a little meta with this one, homaging his own book on the newest run of Batman (the one with the blind bags) and making it a foil cover. Absolute madman, he is, but it was a variant collectors were eager to snag up during their time at NYCC! We tracked 15 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 100% with a high sale of $60 for a Raw NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $58.

17 Justice League #1 – Todd McFarlane – 2025 NYCC – ArrisQ – Virgin Foil (Limited 1000)(eBay)
Holy cow, does this book have a ton going on! It reprints the first appearance of Maxwell Lord, a character primed for a pivotal role in James Gunn’s DCU. It also had the Toddfather himself delivering an epic virgin foil variant, limited to only 1000 copies. We tracked 10 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 100% with a high sale of $70 for a Raw NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $49.

18 Absolute Batman #10 – Nick Dragotta – Regular (eBay)
Absolute Batman has been on an absolute tear! Collectors can’t get enough, and this issue was a turning point for many. Introducing Bruce’s friend, Waylon Jones, as Absolute Killer Croc pulled readers’ heartstrings, but it adds that much more to their investment in the series! It’s a big issue that’s had serious legs on the aftermarket. We tracked 16 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 3% with a high sale of $30 for a Raw NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $23.

19 Absolute Batman #1 – Nick Dragotta – Regular (eBay)
While this book isn’t the first appearance of Absolute Batman, it was the book that cemented a ton of collectors into following along. It nailed what it means to take an old character and reinvent them in ways that have collectors engaged. What was planned to be a limited run turned into something much bigger. And that mostly kicked off with this book right here! We tracked 19 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 1% with a high sale of $50 for a Raw NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $49.

20 Wonder Woman #25 – Daniel Sampere – Cover D (eBay)
This book marks the first appearance of Matriarch, an all-new villain in the Wonder Woman universe. Looking suspiciously Venomesque and sporting a Legion ring alongside a Green Lantern ring, it’s evident Matriarch means business. But, how much? That remains to be seen, but this cover (the only one featuring the character) was certainly enough for collectors to feel invested enough to secure a copy. We tracked 24 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 1% with a high sale of $30 for a Raw NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $16.
