RUNNERS UP
11 Nectar #1 – Danny Luckert (1:40)
NECTAR is truly taking off as the next big independent book on the market! As fans continue to chase down the open order covers, the ratio variants are taking their turn in their spotlight. Luckert illustrates a haunting cover for the 1:40 ratio cover (the 2nd highest ratio cover) that is gaining tons of popularity. As more people read the book and it continues to grow in popularity, the higher ratio variants are becoming the variants to hunt. We tracked 9 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 63% with a high sale of $100 for a raw NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $84.
12 Nectar #1 – Maan House (1:20)
What’s interesting about these ratio variants is that they are divided into increments of 10. Vault ran a special deal for retailers, allowing retailers to purchase NECTAR in bundles of 10 for a significantly discounted price. It was meant to encourage these types of retailer incentives, in an attempt to market the book further. For the few retailers that took this deal, this book flew off the shelf on new comic book day. Now, these variants are circling the aftermarket as fans look for the rarest copies of NECTAR! We tracked 15 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 33% with a high sale of $120 for a raw NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $47.
13 Nectar #1 – Jonathan Wayshak – B&W Virgin (1:50)
If there was a top variant to collect for NECTAR, this is it! This is the highest ratio variant a fan can collect! NECTAR started as a speculation book but the preorder hype continued through release and afterwards. The books are gaining tons of attention as fans read positive reviews. While the open order covers may still be easier to track down, the ratio covers seem much more difficult to find. Especially this one, one of the rarest NECTAR covers, soaring up in value! We tracked 7 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 46% with a high sale of $325 for a raw NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $281.
14 Tigress Island #1 – Luana Vecchio – NSFW Polybagged
Here goes another first issue taking off! TIGRESS ISLAND is the next book to be hyped up before it is released this week! Many of the covers have hit our Top Ten but this book is sure one to keep an eye on. NSFW covers are usually very popular and this book is no exception. Vecchio illustrates a seductive cover that doesn’t go completely over the top with the NSFW banner. If fans enjoy this story as much WHITE SKY, D’ORC and NECTAR, we are likely to see more of this cover! We tracked 39 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 64% with a high sale of $20 for a raw NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $20.
15 Narco #1 – Daniel Hillyard & Dave Stewart – Invincible Team Up
Another book takes off on the aftermarket! NARCO doesn’t follow any narcotics at all, it actually stands for narcolepsy. The main character suffers from it and it happens at inopportune times. This cover is interestingly making a big wave on the aftermarket. The cover is quite humorous, as the Invincible cast beats down on regular human beings! We tracked 58 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 45% with a high sale of $21 for a raw NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $11.
16 Nectar #1 – Jason Shawn Alexander (1:30)
NECTAR’s covers are quite striking! This one really takes the contrast between the beauty of the butterflies and the horrific consequences they bring about in the story. The reviews have been coming in, praising the pacing of the horror story. It delivers super creepy vibes that you would never expect to feel from a luminous butterfly. This ratio variant is the 3rd highest retailer incentive to collect! We tracked 7 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 37% with a high sale of $123 for a raw NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $87.
17 Murder Drones #1 – Alessio Zonno – Regular
This book is on week two and still selling strong! Fans of both the comic and the online series have been hunting down these books. MURDER DRONES started as an animated series that became the most watched YouTube animated series. The series amassed over 300 million views, which has translated to a ton of fans fighting to get this book on the aftermarket! We tracked 67 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 37% with a high sale of $75 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current raw NM FMV of $20.
18 Nectar #1 – Jonathan Wayshak (1:10)
This cover was one of the first covers to blow up for NECTAR. As fans are jumping on the hype train, they are dropping big dollars on higher ratio variants. However, this book’s artwork has made a huge impact with fans, as it is still selling strongly. The book has grown massively in value and continues to see movement in the aftermarket. We tracked 58 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 7% with a high sale of $280 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current raw NM FMV of $86.
19 Nectar #1 – Chris Shehan – Regular
The book that started it all! The Cover A brought tons of attention to NECTAR when the preorders were going through the roof. Once the book was released, the aftermarket really took off with it. As the books begin to be sent to be graded, the sales continue to grow. Raw books are moving in droves as everyone is trying to catch this elusive butterfly! We tracked 332 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 3% with a high sale of $100 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current raw NM FMV of $26.
20 D’Orc #1 – Brett Bean – Regular
Don’t worry D’ORC fans, the little green guy is still here! It’s not even that the book has slowed in sales, this past week we tracked 44 copies sold. It just had some fierce competition with new releases. There were heavy hitters last week but D’ORC sales are still going strong. Fans grabbed the 2nd print copy last week and are preparing for the release of the 2nd issue this week! We tracked 44 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 1% with a high sale of $85 for a raw NM+ copy and a current raw NM FMV of $77.
