FOC PICKS FOR 4/20/2026
Hello, my CHU friends. I’m back after a week of travel and being chased by competing Banjos. Or at least that was the rumor. But fear not, I have returned unscathed and ready to provide everyone with another run down of FOC picks for this week.

COVERS
Iron Man #6 (Marvel Soccer Variant)
I’m a huge World Cup of Soccer fan…been following it since 1990…but even I won’t buy these. I mean, if Marvel put their hero’s in actual country uniforms, or if they had covers of the world soccer stars in costumes, it would be cool. But I feel this is just another money grab for Marvel and will pass like all the others.
The Rocketeer: The Island #3 (Dave Stevens Variant
Tigress Island #3 of 5 (NSFW Polybagged)
Well…there’s Dave Stevens sexy art…and then there’s this. I could see this getting some heat upon release. If you want to see the uncensored cover, you can go to Lunar Distribution (scroll to the book under upcoming FOC).
POSSIBLE FIRSTS
As the dust settles in the city of Gotham after the loss of [redacted], Robins enter the scene ready to hunt and more than one secret will be revealed in this seminal issue.
Since they didn’t appear last issue, this will be the first Robo-Robins. Some of the variant covers for this issue also feature various Absolute Robins that debuted last issue.

LEAPING FROM THE PAGES OF MAY’S BATMAN #9 INTO THE NEXT LEVEL! Framed. Outlawed. Hunted. The extralegal activities of Gotham’s vigilantes have never been more dangerous. After Barbara Gordon is arrested for aiding the Bat-Family, she is shipped off to Supermax, GCPD Commissioner Vandal Savage’s pet-project prison for all who oppose him. She will find herself alone, surrounded by dangerous criminals and equally dangerous guards, in a place where nothing is what it seems. The true danger is just beginning… Eisner Award-winning writer Mariko Tamaki and fan-favorite artist Amancay Nahuelpan reunite to deliver a twisty, unexpected Bat-book for DC Next Level.
Could be an interesting read.
On the farthest edges of the solar system, KNULL, GOD OF THE VOID, builds a brand-new army to destroy Earth…but HELA OF ASGARD might have gotten there first – as she makes planetfall with a legion of the galaxy’s deadliest symbiotes! Two of the most powerful evils in the galaxy are at war…and the SON OF VENOM is caught right in the middle! A cosmic collision of evil versus evil with the good caught in the middle!
DESTINATION KILL is powered by the thrum of a million gigawatts of nonstop visual firepower . . . as rendered by one of the most incendiary visual storytellers in comics today. The year is 2125, and the all-powerful corporation Overcon uses its robot workers to pour our drinks and dispense our meds, all while rebuilding London’s Central City into a hyper-modern megalopolis bolted together in its own image. But as Overcon prepares to celebrate the first year of its Paradise Loop—a superfast transatlantic train that connects the Central City to New York in under 60 minutes—an unwieldy army of displaced human workers floods the streets with weapons, plotting an attack at the anniversary gala. Enter: Gina Serene, a stressed-out, pill-popping police detective in desperate need of a vacation and her ex-partner turned P.I., Lance Wingman—who are now the only thing standing between Overcon’s skyscraper-sized fist and the worker uprising that threatens to bring Britain’s capital crashing down around them.
