COVERS
A fun cover. Love Mater and McQueen. Unfortunately, this isn’t the first cover of these characters on a comic. There was a series by BOOM! that commands quite the aftermarket price.
A nice sort of homage to Dave Stevens, by Ito.
POTENTIAL FIRSTS
A KEY MOMENT IN IIIIARVEL HISTORY AS A NEW CHARACTER TAKES THE STAGE… The Marvel Universe changes forever right here and right now! The Avengers are torn apart as a shocking character makes their debut, setting the stage for November’s AVENGERS #1!
I have to think this spoiler cover will be of the new character.
NOTABLE REPRINTS
Although this has received a facsimile before, I don’t recall there being a foil cover.
3rd printing of Lara Croft’s first appearance in GI Joe comics.

PICK OF THE WEEK
MINISERIES PREMIERE: In 1977, a young artist had his first ideas for a character he would name Spawn. That man was TODD McFARLANE. Now, 49 years later, Spawn is an international sensation that has spawned (pun intended) a movie, toys, games, and an animated series. It has been translated into over a dozen languages with fans across the globe. Now, in collaboration with acclaimed artist MARK SPEARS, TODD McFARLANE brings a vision of his original idea to the Spawn Universe. A completely new and exciting take on the fan-favorite character. Covers from MARK SPEARS, TODD McFARLANE, EMMA RIOS, SHAWN CRYSTAL, and more. A wickedly different version of Spawn starts here.
We’ve been hearing about (and waiting for) this book to debut for quite a while now. It’s finally here. Now it will be heavily ordered, but still should be a fun book to grab.
My only gripe is that the cover A is not a McFarlane cover…This is his creation, so why did he give the main cover to Spears? At least there are a few McFarland variant covers to choose from (shown below). Also expect a few NYCC exclusives to appear.
My favorite is actually the 1:25 incentive variant…there are a few higher ratios but this 1:25 should be plenty available for a reasonable price and a nice homage to ASM 300.
