I have not hidden my love for horror on here. Nor have I hidden my love for The giant monster “kaiju” genre. So I couldn’t be more excited about the upcoming slate of Godzilla and King Kong movies.
From Comicbook.com:
Legendary and Warner Bros. have officially merged the Godzilla and Kong franchises, and set dates for the trilogy of films that will bring the two together.
Kong: Skull Island will arrive in theaters on March 10, 2017. Godzilla 2 will follow on June 8, 2018. The two icons will finally meet in Godzilla vs. Kong, set for 2020.
Godzilla 2 will once again feature the Monarch organization, which appeared in 2014’s Godzilla. The Monarch organization will form the spine of the shared cinematic uiverse, which will also come to include classic Godzilla foes Rodan, Mothra, and King Ghidorah.
Very cool!
Nice. I love king kong. Is this new skull island going to be the same as in the last movie or is it going to have a new storyline and perspective. It is crazy to know that there was an actual island that had them huge creatures. It would be crazy if it was still around today. Also do u know if the storyline is going to be the same as the 1960s king kong vs Godzilla?
My 9 year old cannot wait for these.. 🙂
Don’t care what anyone says, i loved the hell out of the last Godzilla movie
Remake of King Kong versus Godzilla might succeed. Best remakes such as the Mummy and the Fly are based on mediocre films that deserve improvements and the public agreeds. Great classic films cannot be improved in the eyes of fans who love them..
It’s funny because I loved the Brundle Fly series of movies which were based on Classic movies. I think I like the Brundle Fly movies better. Also The Thing, which is one of my favorite movies was a remake of The Thing From Outer Space and is far superior to the original. So it can work.
