Batman #47 Sold Out

Took a couple of weeks, but Batman #47 did something not many DC books have been doing lately, and that is selling out at Diamond Comic Distributors. Oh, and one more thing, it appears it is only the black bag variants.
DC books have been coming out with one of four covers recently, a regular, and bagged variants that include a color, black and white inked version, or a penciled sketch version. To sweeten the pot, DC has thrown in 10 original sketched comics into the mix. The Harley’s Little Black Book bagged variant is sold out at Diamond.
Batman #47 was done by ALex Ross and is beautiful. It is really cool to look at the original penciled version and see the differences between it and the final version.
Completed auctions for sets are going for around $20, with the penciled version selling between $7-20.
Mycomicshop still has copies for cover price.

  1. That is a super sweet cover. I love Alex Ross’ art almost as much as I love Phil Notos. Getting this for the PC

  2. I only got one copy and I was lucky enough to get a sketch cover. Suck a sweet cover I should of gotten 2 just for the heck of it lol

      1. There is a shop about 40 minutes away that Horribly Inflates their new releases when there’s Hype involved. I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re doing this. When the Future’s End 3D Covers came out, they had them priced from $10 to $20 each UPON RELEASE, and people were actually buying them. Crazy. I’ve only been there a few times, when I had other errands to run up there, but they are one of the only retailers whom I have No Guilt in scouring their back-issues for mis-priced/overlooked key issues cheap. The best find ever was an Incredible Hulk#180 in their Dollar Bin. It was heavily damaged, but worth a heck of a lot more than a dollar. I had no guilt buying that one from them. Karma is a b*&$#, eh?

    1. Sold out means sold out at the distributor level. While stores (especially big online stores) may have copies, once they are gone they will not be able to get reorders.

  3. If your patient.. wait around 6 months, then find the copy you want that’s already graded at 9.8 condition for around $40-$50.. you’ll spend a whole lot less most likely.

      1. So your saying I have a better chance at winning the 400 Million dollar Powerball.. 😉

  4. Just from my experiences opening these , it seems getting 9.8 copies are going to be very tough to come by
