Agent Poyo’s Picks of the Week for 4/27/2016

It’s that time again, the best day of the week, new comic book Wednesday and what can we say, the past few weeks have been busy. Lots of new titles coming out, tons of indie books. The second release of 4 Kids Walk Into A Bank since Diamond goofed up and sent to some retailers ahead of schedule.
So let’s get on with the picks…

DC/Vertigo Pick
Batman #51 (DC) – Regular cover. Just a sweet looking cover for being a regular cover. I like it better than the JRJ cover.
Marvel Pick:
Doctor Strange Last Days of Magic #1 (Marvel) – I’ve been loving Aaron writing Doctor Strange in the latest volume. This is just good writing and the artwork has been awesome. This kicks off the new story arc that continues in Doctor Strange #7. With the movie approaching, I think there’s going to be more Doctor Strange fans who will be seeking these out, so pick them up, could be worth it down the road for you slow burning sellers.
Honorable Pick:
Star Wars #18 – Aphra teaming up with Leia and Sana.. could she become a rebel ally? Pick these up because they’re Star Wars and then pick up a few more as Aphra gains fans, if she ever shows up in a show or movie, these will all be sought after.
Indie Pick of the Week
I was going to pick 4 Kids Walk Into A Bank #1 but it was a pick last week since I was fortunate enough to have a LCS get them to sell them.. yay me! But the pick this week goes to:
Legend #1 (Z2) – Domesticated animals left in charge after humans are nearly wiped out from Earth? Could be interesting.. Ennis did a simliar type of book, Rover Red Charlie which was an awesome read.
