  1. It was a good week for me.
I picked up some good books.
I’m just waiting for Ballistic #3 to come out.
Anyone know where to find. SCAM #1 FIRSR PRINT? THE ORIGINAL FIRST PRINT. THE LOW PRINT OF 777?
    THANK YOU

      1. I have a copy of SCAM #1, but it’s not the original first printing.
It is the First Diamond Print run, not the Original 777 the were first printed back in Jan 2012. I talked to Tyler James from Comix Tribe, he said the original print has it on the inside cover. And on the front cover Says STANDARD EDITION.

      1. I can’t find none of them online. We all like the first prints. I think this one should be in my long box.

  2. Hello All,

I spek’d pretty hard on SCAM #1 when it came out in January 2012…I WAS ON THE PHONE AT 0900 SHARP THAT MORNING! I pretty-much called all 21 of the ‘exclusive’ comic shops that had these books. Because of the ridiculously low print run of 777, I bought as many as I could find back then. Just seemed like an excellent spek book at the time. I was surprised to find as many as I did back them. I thought they would be instant sell-outs. Actually, a few of the shops laughed at me for even ASKING if they still had some available. Well, I got a few (all at cover price), and I’m still holding all of them!

Here’s the haul of the various ORIGINAL, FIRST PRINT SCAM #1 books that I acquired back then:

SCAM #1, STANDARD FIRST PRINT: X12

SCAM #1, STANDARD FIRST PRINT (SIGNED BY JOE MULVEY): X3

SCAM #1, STANDARD FIRST PRINT – NECRA EXCLUSIVE – ‘FORTUNE’ VARIANT (SIGNED BY JOE MULVEY): X4

SCAM #1, STANDARD FIRST PRINT – 3RD EYE EXCLUSIVE – ‘LIE’ VARIANT: X5

SCAM #1, STANDARD FIRST PRINT – ARTIST EDITION ORIGINAL LIMITED SKETCH COVER VARIANT (HAND SALUTE SKETCH COVER): MULVEY HAND-NUMBERED #14 of 100

SCAM #1, STANDARD FIRST PRINT – ARTIST EDITION ORIGINAL LIMITED SKETCH COVER VARIANT (WALKING DEAD HOMAGE SKETCH COVER [this is an absolutely sweet WD sketch cover]): MULVEY HAND-NUMBERED #06 of 100

SCAM #1, STANDARD FIRST PRINT – ARTIST EDITION ORIGINAL SKETCH COVER VARIANT (COINS FALLING FROM HAND ‘LIE’ SKETCH COVER): MULVEY HAND-NUMBERED #01 of 100 (I consider this a 1/1 GEM!)

Also, I’ve emailed Joe Mulvey a few times in the past, and he is obviously excited about the SCAM books. He asked me for my personal critique of issue #1, and I had absolutely nothing but goods things to say about the 1st issue. I haven’t read any other issues, but if @COMICFLIPPER is willing to have a Q & A with Joe, I can email him and ask?????

Also, as I couldn’t get my pics of the SCAM books on here, I’ve emailed them to @COMICFLIPPER, so hopefully he has a bit of time, and is willing to post them here, so everyone has an idea of what to look for if they are going on the hunt for some original, 1st Print SCAM books!

    1. Now, the prints that you have are they Comix Tribe Print run or Diamond First Print run?
Cause the REAL original Print run are the 777 that where put out by Comix Tribe themselves. Cause the Diamond First Print Run are reprints of the first 777.
Do you talk to Joe Mulvey a lot?

      1. Yes, but that is Diamond First print run. Comix Tribe first run says SCAM #1 First Print January 2012, not Diamond First Print. They have on eBay as first print but those are Diamond First Print not the ORIGINAL 777. Look on the side of the cover it should say SCAM #1 First print January 2012

        1. Prophecy, you never listen to what I say. I said I have the original first print. The other version says Diamond First Print. Mine is the Third Eye Variant which is part of the Original 777 edition, I think only 50!to 100 copies were the Third Eye Edition.

Remember, just because there’s a low print run doesn’t necessarily mean they’re going to be instant sell outs and valuable. Demand will always supersede the quantity printed. You could have a “one of a kind” that you think is priceless but you could also be the only one that wants it, which makes it worthless to just about everyone else. 😉

      1. True on that. But the way SCAM is doing, I think it should do good. For me anyways. I like First Prints.

  3. @PROPHECY75, ‘ALL’ of my SCAM books are ORIGINAL 1ST PRINTS…NO DOUBT! No diamond rubbish here, believe me! All are original hand-signed Joe Mulvey (in the original 21 exclusive comic shops)! Like I said, I was on the phone the morning of release getting as many as possible. One of the store owners ‘graciously’ sent me the signed Mulvey books as a thank you for purchasing from him.

Yea, I’ve emailed Mulvey a few times. He seems really cool, and willing to reach out to his fans. I’ll see if I can get back in touch with him, and see if he has the time/willing to have a quick Q & A wwith him.

    1. Ok no doubt. I’m still trying to get one of the 777 print run,
      I’m still on the hunt
