Whenever Robert Kirman’s Skybound Entertainment releases a new book, you should take notice. Two of his titles, Walking Dead and Outcast, have already been turned into TV shows. But here is one to hot the dollar bins for: Demonic #1 Pilot Season
Pilot Season was a Top Cow series of One-shots that the winner would get an ongoing series. Beauty, one of my favorite books over the last year was one of them. One season, they did an entire Robert Kirkman run. Of them, it appears that Demonic #1 Pilot Season is being picked up for a series. CBR had the story:
Skybound Entertainment has announced a new comic book creation from Robert Kirkman — though if you pay really close attention, it may sound familiar. “Demonic” will debut in August as a six-issue series from the team of writer Christopher Sebela (“High Crimes,” “Heartthrob”), newcomer artist Niko Walter and colorist Dan Brown, with the first details arriving Monday on Entertainment Weekly.
“Demonic” was created by Kirkman — the creator of “The Walking Dead” franchise, but you already knew that — and tells the story of Scott Graves, an otherwise decent New York City cop who happens to be possessed by a rather violent demon.
“He has to figure out how to survive and keep his family alive while trying to keep this thing inside him from killing everybody in the city of New York,” Sebela said in a video interview released by Skybound. “There’s a lot of blood and guts, but there’s also a lot of mental horror.”
It is starting out as a 6 issue series, but could go on from there. Very few copies of Demonic #1 Pilot Season are on eBay. None of the black and white variant. has some “fine” copies for a little over a buck. Worth checking out if the series continues and continues to be a hit, or a tv show. Just saying….

just got the last copy off ecrater. true, it’s generally not the best site, can be hit and miss, but it’s always worth a look when all the main stores are sold out.

While looking for Pilot Season Demonic 1, I came across the 2009 Pilot Season First Look $1 Preview: Declassified. It has scripts, pencils, sketches, and a centerfold of the cover of Demonic. Looks like it came out a month before.
