Both Vikings #1 (out May 4th) and Dark Souls #2 (out this week) have sold out at distributor level – and are going back to print with brand-new covers!
(Remember when books are reported at selling out at the disteributor level, this does not mean you will not be able to find them in stores.)
It’s an exciting time for fans of both franchises; Dark Souls III was released to huge critical success and is now the fasting selling game in the franchise. Vikings has enjoyed an excellent reactions on screens both critically and from audiences with Season 4 premiering February 2016!
Vikings comic writer Cavan Scott on the issue #1 sell-out:
“I’m raising a glass of mead in honor of everyone who has made issue one of Vikings such a success,” said Vikings writer Cavan Scott, “And for those who have yet to pick up an issue, here’s your chance before Issue #2 hits the stores!”
Dark Souls comic editor Tom Williams on the issue #2 sell-out:
“We’re so delighted with the reception Dark Souls has received, “ says Tom Williams, editor, “George and Alan have weaved a harrowing and beautifully executed tale that effectively captures that brooding Dark Souls aesthetic. We’re hoping fans will enjoy where the quest will lead them…”
Vikings #1 second printing features a new Ragnar Lothbrok photo cover; and Dark Souls #2 second printing features a brand-new cover by series artist Alan Quah!

I wish Vikings had a sniff of heat…I guess everyone that wanted one got one.
I think in time as the show picks up more fans, they’ll seek these out. It’s going to be a slow burn I think..
2nd print cover of issue two? still worth picking up if I see it.Nice design.Looking forward to it.
Yeah, 2nd prints with different covers can do good on the aftermarket as well.
