Robert Kirkman’s new book Outcast picked up for Cinemax

Robert Kirkman's new book Outcast picked up for Cinemax.

Well it was bound to happen, but I was guessing it would happen after the book came out. Robert Kirkman’s ‘Outcast’ or at least that is the working title with the Valiant lawsuit and all, has been picked up for a Tv show on Cinemax. This will put great demand on the book before it is even released.

  1. It should be a good read. I don’t think its an investment though.
That book will have a VERY LARGE print run.
Not like The Walking Dead. Which was about 7,700 give or take.
    I’ll wait for the TBP.

    1. I agree. I will probably pick one up so i can read it but they know these will sell out no matter how many are printed so there will be so many on the market.

      1. Never know? The Print Run is well going to be over at least 50.000. Then 2nd printing and so on.
Maybe the Variant on this copy will sell.
        But the Regular cover won’t.
Just my opinion. I’ve been wrong in the past. Many times have I been wrong.

        1. I fully expect the print run to be in the 100k +/- range. Probably 80k. Even with big print runs, books can still sell at a premium. Just depends on how much work you want to do. I make a ton of money in smaller profit books selling in quantity. (Letter 44 Phantom for example) is selling for $7.99 shipped. My cost is $3.39 shipped. But I have sold at least 30 copies and just got another 10 in. $4.60 is not a huge profit but times 30 it adds up. This book is not a sure thing of course nothing is. I am still going to pick it up.
