Ms Marvel to be in Avengers 2 Age of Ultron

If you haven’t heard, and I am late putting this up, that The Vision will be in The Avengers 2 Age of Ultron. The same actor who provided the voice for Jarvis will be playing The Vision. But there is another rumor that one more key character as yet to be announced.
That character, according to the Latino Review, is Ms. Marvel. Supposedly she will be an Agent of Shield who gets powers at some point and joins the fight. She is also reported to be romantically linked to The Vision. At this point, casting has not been done for the character, but Katie Sakoff has said in an interview that she was interested in the part.
The big question, other than who will play her is which costume will she appear in. Will it be the modern Captain Marvel costume under Kellie Sue Decoonick’s run, the more popular black costume, or the classic one from her early appearances (let’s not count out her time as Binary either.)
Her first appearance was in Marvel Superheroes #13. This was as Carol Danvers, also the second appearance of Captain Marvel.
Her origin was given in Marvel Superheroes #18, also the first appearance of the Guardians of the Galaxy (maybe there is a connection there.)
And of course her first solo book was Ms Marvel #1 1977

  1. I’d bet on the modern Captain Marvel costume or a hybrid version of that and the iconic black and yellow costume. Or watch them really buck expectations and go with the new Ms. Marvel.

      1. Vision’s most recent girlfriend was a teenager. In fact it was Cassie Lang the daughter of Scott Lang! Its a long shot but there could be something to that.

  2. Yeah, it’s Paul Bettany who will be Vision, which I think is a good choice, I like him. For those not familiar with him, if you’ve seen “A Beautiful Mind” with Russell Crowe, he was his imaginary college mate with daughter in the movie.

    1. …And Paul Bettany was the voice of Jarvis in the Iron Man 1 (2008), and Iron Man 2 (2010), and Iron Man 3 (2013) movies, as well as the voice of Jarvis in the Avengers (2012) movie.
Sooooooo, how do you think the voice of Vision will sound? Will it be ‘Jarvisey’, or will Mr. Bettany be allowed to use his regular voice?
And Bettany played Silas The Monk in the Da Vinci Code (2006) movie. Man, he was CREEPY in that one!

  3. Hmmmmm,
@garwell, that would be a nice cat fight for Vision’s love; New Ms. Marvel vs. Stature (Cassie Lang)!
    I like it!
I smell a crossover story brewing, yall!
With the Ant Man movie coming out, in which Cassie Lang is purported to have a SUBSTANTIAL ROLE, and the massive push for the new (controversial) Ms. Marvel to become popular, who knows what the movie producers have in mind?
What better way to get Ms. Marvel some pop than to have her (Ms. Marvel) first mission be against an out of control Ant Man (Scott Lang) and his beloved DAUGHTER Cassie Lang as STATURE (who ‘could have’ heard that Ms. Marvel has the hots for her (Cassie’s) love interest…VISION)!
Then it can be the original Ms. Marvel (Carole Danvers) vs (or loving) the original Ant Man (Henry Pym)……
    MAN, WHO WRITES THIS STUFF????????
I’m just messin’, but who knows how this will all play out – but seriously, I smell something pretty cool brewing with these characters and their story lines, and I think it’s great because nothing will be revealed until the movie hits!
I mean, we all know that MP issh 47 is hot because it’s the 1st appearance of the new Ant Man, Scott Lang, but I’m saying the serious heat surrounding this book, (and it’s really starting to drive the price up) is the fact that it is also the first appearance of CASSIE LANG, as well!
I think the producers have big plans for Cassie, and when they debut her in the movie, and she steals the show, per se, I THINK MP 47 PRICES WILL ABSOLUTELY SKYROCKET IN VALUE!
And, all I know is, even the speculation of it all is starting to make ALL of the back issues jump in price! I truly hope you guys got your Marvel Premier #47 & #48 by now….SERIOUSLY!
Here are a couple of EBAY auctions that indicate what the community are starting to ‘expect’ the value of these books to be…in my head, I’m more of what they WILL BE WORTH when the movie hits, and Cassie Lang is unleashed on the unsuspecting comics community:

Trust me, I have my VF+ to MN copies of MP #47 & #48 safely nestled in my kids’ ‘college fund’ box of comics!
CHU hyped these books months ago, and I went straight out and got them…cheap!
You folks have to learn….WHEN CHU SPEAKS…GO OUT AND GET!!!!!!!!
These guys will not steer you wrong…TRUST ME!
Wow, this post was going to be short and sweet…….Yikes!
Also, if the producers do bring Cassie in as Stature, that would be huge, as that would mean that there would possibly be an even more interesting AVENGERS / VISION tie-in story, as all of you know, Stature is / was a member of: THE YOUNG AVENGERS!
And I’m sure all of you know that Cassie Lang made her first appearance as the character Stature in: THE YOUNG AVENGERS #6 (2005, 12 issue series).
And as speculators early to the worm, YA #6 in MN condition can be had hella cheap right now from pretty-much any comics outlet.
I have 6 or 8 MN copies of YA #6 already, and will grab a few more shortly.
Here’s a simple EBAY hit on YA #6: (even Mile High has a VF copy of this book for under $2)!!!!!!!!!!!

…AND, if the entire YA team is called into battle in the movie…well, let’s just say, I’m going to grab a few full set runs of this 2005 series now, JUST IN CASE!!!!!!!!!
