#11 JSA SECRET FILES #1 (DC, 1999) This one sold 19 copies, had a 7-day trend of 245% and had a high sale of $129 for a CGC 9.8. Variety reported this week that “Noah Centineo Joins Dwayne Johnson in ‘Black Adam’ for New Line/DC”. The article notes that Centineo will be playing ATOM SMASHER (alter ego, Albert Rothstein). Albert’s first comic interaction had the moniker NUKLON, whose first appearance is in All-Star Squadron #25 (DC, 1983). He takes on the name “Atom Smasher” in this one.
#12 VENOM #3 (MARVEL, 2018) As well noted, this first print of the first appearance of Knull is on fire! It sold 32 copies, had a 7-day trend of 144% and had a NEW high sale of $502 for a CGC 9.8.
#13 VENOM #25 (MARVEL, 2020) This first cameo appearance of Virus is a steady $20 raw book. It’s also been a steady seller in volume with 43 copies sold. It had a 7-day trend of 101% and had a high sale of $149.99 for a CGC 9.8.
#14 FAITHLESS II #2 (BOOM!, 2020) A censor bag put on the wrong way is the error book that collectors are picking up right now. While just a bag won’t have a long life in the aftermarket, it’s here for the moment. It sold 19 copies, had a 7-day trend of 229% and had a high sale of $24.99 for a raw copy.
#15 DARK NIGHTS DEATH METAL #2 MANKE 1:25 VARIANT (DC, 2020)
While raw prices of Wonder Woman (shredding on an electric harp) have dropped to $20, it still moved 48 copies, had a 7-day trend of 73% and had a high sale of $29.99 for a raw copy.
#16 BATMAN #94 JIMENEZ UNDERBROKER DESIGN 1:25 VARIANT (DC, 2020) Like #15, this variant has also dropped in price to about $15/$20. Yet, it still sold 33 copies, had a 7-day trend of 92% and had a high sale of $29.99 for a raw copy.
#17 THOR #4 (MARVEL, 2020) The Black Winter cameo appearance may not be nearly as hot as #5, speculators are picking this up with the expectation that it WILL go up. That’s a safe bet. It sold 29 copies, had a 7-day trend of 103% and had a high sale of $10 for a raw copy.
#18 INHUMANS #5 (MARVEL, 1999) This issue holds the 1st Appearance of Yelena Belova, who later becomes the Black Widow. As you know by now, Yelena is taking on the BLACK WIDOW role in the MCU. It sold 14 copies, had a 7-day trend of 190% and had a high sale of $416 for a CGC 9.8.
#19 AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #378 (MARVEL, 1993) With expectations of a VENOM 2: LET THERE BE CARNAGE trailer hitting any day now, all things Maximum Carnage seem to be trending. It sold 14 copies, had a 7-day trend of 210% and had a high sale of $16.34 for a raw copy.
#20 STRANGE ACADEMY #1 SKOTTIE YOUNG VARIANT (MARVEL, 2020)
As noted with the first print, which landed in our #4 spot this week, is packed with first appearances, such as: EMILY BRIGHT, DOYLE DORMAMMU, SHAYLEE MOONPEDDLE, ZOE LAVEAU, CALVIN MORSE and DESSY. With all the crazy market heat around Spider-Verse characters, collectors and speculators have their eyes on Strang Academy as the NEXT book to speculate on. ALL covers for this issue are moving. This Skottie Young variant (non-store exclusive) sold 11 copies, had a 7-day trend of 221% and had a high sale of $22.95 for a raw copy.
