  1. Picked up: Cerebus 1 Remastered reprint. The Waverly Press is selling the remaining inventory from the Kickstarter. There are variant covers with expanded content available, but I picked up the original cover version.

    Picking up: Batman/The Maxx 4

  2. I saw it so i have to ask. how does a book due out today, appear on Ebay already CGC’d? Does CGC have a tardis drop off I’m not aware of? Joking, yes, but i am seriously curious.

      1. are you kidding me? i was told that when you send books in it takes a month or more for return

          1. It’s also about the volume you’re willing to guarantee. About fifteen years ago I was one of the dealers playing the “first 9.8” game. As long as I sent them at least 200 books a month for 9.8 prescreen, they’d do them in 3-4 days. It had to be brand new issues. Couldn’t toss in my Amazing 361s or anything. But if I sent them 25 of this week’s Thor and 25 of this week’s Wolverine and 10 Venom third prints and 5 Black Widow variants, they’d all be done in 3-4 days.

I imagine things have changed a little. But I doubt they’ve changed much. Big volume 9.8 screens are the easiest and fastest work they get.

  3. Pick ups for the week:
Star Wars #7 (1:25 Kuder variant for $15)
Avengers #36-store got in replaced damaged copies and was able to get one for cover price

Spec pick ups for the week:
Rejected #1 2nd print Source Point (cover price for another copy)
Batman Adventure Continues #2 (1st printing) 2 copies at cover price-can’t believe these are still out there on the shelves. I sell these everytime I get them for $16-$18
Canto #1 (2nd print) $5-with the high prices on nice shape 1st prints, figured this might be a good pick up and hope for halo effect.

PC pick ups for the week:
Howard the Duck #12 and #13 (1st appearance of Kiss in comics) in NM-NM+ shape. I paid $45 for the pair, but have wanted a set for quite a while. I really love these non-mainstream 1970’s books!

    Good hunting everyone!
