It makes sense, Nebula was in Guardians of the Galaxy. Nebula is Thanos’ daughter. Thanos will be a big part of the upcoming Marvel movies. So is there more Nebula story to tell.
From Comicbook.com:
Director James Gunn revealed his plans for Thanos’ villainous daughter in an interview with Yahoo! Movies, strongly suggesting that her story was far from over.
“I have so many plans for Nebula…I hope to god that we get a chance to see a lot more of Nebula,” Gunn slipped in the interview.
Gunn also expressed his love for the character, saying how much he enjoyed Nebula’s design and actress Karen Gillan’s portrayal of her. In fact, Gunn went so far as to compare Nebula to the iconic Star Wars villain Boba Fett, saying “She’s the only one you really dig because she’s the cool one that we need to get more of.”
Nebula’s first appearance was in Avengers #257 which shot up from a dollar bin book when her character was announced. Hopefully it remains a Copper Age key for time to come.
I picked this one up the last time you put a spotlight on it at my local shop for about $4.00. 🙂
I got 2 at $2 each when the initial announcement came out. I do listen to myself sometimes.
Heh. Yeah, mine was $4 likely due to it being really great condition. I scored a Batman #666 from Half Price Books yesterday for a buck, it’s at least a 9.6 grade or better. I was surprised to find it along with a bunch of other Morrison Batman issues all in nice condition for a dollar each.
How come every time I go into Half Price Books almost every books appears to either have been used as a place mat or to balance out an uneven table?!?
Nice finds!
Half Price Books must be a Texas thing?
