Wednesday One to Watch: Bee and Puppy Cat #7

Add this to the list of recalled / error variants:

Boom Studios have sent notification to retailers that Bee And Puppy Cat #7 is to be destroyed and they will receive replacement copies in addition to a refund on freight back.

Boom claims it was a printing error in Bee And Puppy Cat #7 that caused the problem. Copies of recalled books can shoot up in value quickly and are worth grabbing copies of. (See what happened with Rai #2 with the error on the mask cover). If you see a copy of Bee And Puppy Cat #7 it may be worth getting one.

I have been picking them up as a novelty for years and recently did very well with a Phonogram recalled issue that I grabbed out of a $1 bin.

  1. When I call my order in later today, I’m gonna get a couple copies(if they have them that is)! Thanks for the Head’s Up!!!!

  2. Whatever the error is, it’s not obvious to me when flipping through the book.

And while certainly not a recall worthy error, East of West 16 (12/31) has multiple covers line up to form a large image – Cover H goes between D and E for some reason.

      1. I love East of West.. I’m not looking forward to the many many covers #16 has but I’ll fork over the cash as I’m a completest for the most part.. 🙂

    1. I picked up one of each to make sure. Don’t know how many comic stores actually follow recalls though since it seems like every shop has them

  3. (I posted this elsewhere Anthony, meant to post here instead so delete the other if you want)

Has anyone tried listing theirs on eBay? I haven’t seen any listed and the ones that were sold appear to be more pre-orders type listings (sold for around cover price), not mentioning the recall or error, etc. Just want to make sure if I list mine, they aren’t getting yanked for any reason..
