RUNNERS UP

11 Ghost Rider: Robbie Reyes Special #1 – Gerardo Sandoval
The collecting community has made their feelings known regarding Phantasm. So far, all signs indicate she’s garnering much interest, especially regarding her first full appearance. Marvel wasn’t secretive about her debut, yet some still missed the chance to secure a copy. They’ve been steadily rectifying that for several weeks now. We tracked 11 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 87%, with a high sale of $18 for an NM copy and a current NM raw price of $14.

12 X-Men #5 – Elizabeth Torque – Error (1:25)
Ah, an error book! How the community loves the recalled, error, or potentially pulped book, and this falls into that category. Rarely do we see one of those books happen on a ratio variant, so when this book was released and marked as issue #1 instead of issue #5 on the cover, fans were excited to attempt to secure a copy! We tracked 31 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 3%, with a high sale of $39 for an NM copy and a current NM raw price of $28.

13 Strange Tales Vol.1 #126
This book marks the first appearance of Dormammu, which some may remember from Dr. Strange’s first film. However, Dormammu has a long and varied history, one where he crossed paths with numerous characters along the way. One is Nicholas Scratch, the son of Agatha Harkness, and the identity many theorize is the true identity of the “Boy” in Agatha All Along. CLICK HERE FOR THE SPOILER OF WHO “THE TEEN” REALLY IS. Considering this list analyzes movement from last week’s sales, this book may not have made it. Regardless, a 60-year-old key is nothing to scoff at at these prices! We tracked eight copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 9%, with a high sale of $216 for a CGC 6.5 copy and a current NM raw price of $86.

14 Sonic The Hedgehog Annual 2024 #1 – Iasmin Oma Ata – Cover RI (1:10)
Once again, a Sonic 1:10 Cover RI variant hits our list! For the big issues, like issue #50, #75, or annual #1 in this instance, fans typically chase after the 1:10 ratios because they’re so underordered. Most issues of Sonic are notoriously underordered, causing these 1:10 variants to see elevated aftermarket movement as Sonic fans continue their labor of love tracking these down. We tracked ten copies sold at a 7-day growth trend of 114%, with a high sale of $40 for an NM copy and a current NM raw price of $21.

15 Spider-Man 2099 Vol.1 #1
Thanks to Across the Spider-Verse, this book was on our lists for MONTHS. However, the community has collectively moved on from securing this book in large chunks. But these numbers do tell us something. This book established itself as a modern key for fans to chase, with enough sales to warrant it landing on this list. Similar to Spawn, this book has established itself as one of those that will ALWAYS be trading hands, with or without films/shows to lean on. It still has potential for the future, but currently, it’s just a fan-favorite book! We tracked 11 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 156%, with a high sale of $31 for an NM+ copy and a current NM raw price of $12.

16 X-Men Vol.1 #11
Thanks to Jim Lee’s fantastic work on Absolute Batman, his name has been popping up throughout the community. He’s an industry mainstay and one of the best to ever do it, yet he has a massive catalog that numerous fans have yet to experience. We see yet another iconic Jim Lee book hit our lists, except this time, it’s one of his iconic X-Men covers. We tracked 12 copies sold at a 7-day growth trend of 61%, with a high sale of $39 for a CGC 9.6 copy and a current VF raw price of $9.

17 The New Mutants Vol.1 #98 – Rob Liefeld – Regular
Rob Liefeld had lightning in a bottle, delivering numerous characters and IPs we still enjoy today. One of them is Deadpool, who first appeared in this book. However, his creator is making headlines, as it was announced recently that he will be returning to the Youngblood title he created in the 90’s. He also contributed to the massive aftermarket movement attributed to the Whatnot mystery bundles. It’s not surprising to see his most famous and influential creation seeing some additional heat. We tracked 16 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 2%, with a high sale of $1050 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current NM raw price of $328.

18 Marvel Super-Heroes Secret Wars Vol.1 #8 – Direct
Like New Mutants #98, this book is quickly becoming a constant on this list. Simply put, it’s a modern-day grail for many collectors, serving as the origin of the black suit that would become Venom. It also has a fantastic cover and is a major book in a limited series that the MCU could adapt. It has gravitas and potential, and fans are constantly acquiring copies. We tracked 17 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 38%, with a high sale of $500 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current VF raw price of $151.

19 Spawn #1 – Todd McFarlane – Regular
Still, there is no news for the Spawn film, but he makes another appearance on this list. As we’ve said before, Spawn is the aftermarket king. This book routinely makes it to the top of the list regarding aftermarket copies sold each year, and it has steadily been trending up in value with a few backslides. This book is everywhere! We tracked 15 copies sold at a 7-day growth trend of 3%, with a high sale of $135 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current NM raw price of $25.

20 Wolverine Vol. 1 #1
At this point, Wolverine is a constant, like needing air to breathe or water to exist. If there is an iteration of the X-Men, Wolverine is there. Down the toy aisle, Wolverine is there. At the cinema, boom, there again! But all fantastic characters get their start somewhere. While this isn’t his first appearance, it is often considered THE book that got numerous fans on the Wolverine train. Flat out, it’s iconic, and outside of his first appearance, is the lynchpin for collectors to chase. It also features his iconic line for the first time, “I’m the best there is at what I do.” It’s another modern key that sits at the top of collectors’ want lists and will forever change hands as collectors enter and exit the hobby. We tracked ten copies sold at a 7-day growth trend of 5%, with a high sale of $550 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current NM raw price of $146.
