TOP 10
1. Vampirella #672 – Will Jack – 2024 NYCC – The Comic Mint / KRS Comics – Virgin (Limited 500)
Vampirella is a top-selling sexy cover character. Most of the time, she is portrayed in her red sling suit but artist Will Jack has brought in a modern touch. For the 2024 NYCC, Jack illustrated the voluptuous vampire in a skin-tight, see-through “I love NY” shirt. The book started off slow, as a phenomenal virgin variant selling for around $75. This past week, this book has gone off the rails and shot up to a value of $200! With only 500 copies floating around, is this just the beginning of an upward trend? This NYCC exclusive definitely took off, to everyone’s surprise! We tracked 41 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 78%, with a high sale of $200 for an NM+ copy and a current NM raw price of $170.
2. Absolute Batman #1 – Nick Dragotta – Regular
Absolute Batman has been on the top lists ever since its debut! It may have tapered off to make room for NYCC variants, but it’s back. The original cover A is trending once more. The other Absolute Batman variants have fallen off the top ten list, but this one is still selling strong in the aftermarket. In fact, it is bringing along a few new variants that are trending below. We tracked 186 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 6%, with a high sale of $30 for an NM copy and a current NM raw price of $25.
3. Spawn #357 – Peach Momoko – 2024 NYCC – Spectral Comics – Signed By Todd McFarlane (Limited 500)
Momoko is arguably one of the most popular cover artists of recent years. This cover was an exclusive that was sold at NYCC, and there was a lot of action surrounding this book. The biggest news came from reported altercations in the line leading up to the release time of the book. Whether you fought a fellow fan or waited in line for hours, the first to grab these books nabbed them for a steal because this book is now skyrocketing on the aftermarket. We tracked 55 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 26%, with a high sale of $500 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current NM raw price of $289.
4. Absolute Wonder Woman #1 – Hayden Sherman – Regular
Here comes another addition to the Absolute Universe! Wonder Woman flies in strong as she debuts her addition to this new storyline. Just as Absolute Batman was trending when it first debuted, Wonder Woman also leaves her mark with cover A. This version of Wonder Woman was taken from the Amazons and given to Circe to raise in Hell. An interesting take on this new dark timeline that is captivating DC fans. We tracked 150 copies sold at a 7-day growth trend of 195%, with a high sale of $20 for an NM copy and a current NM raw price of $10.
5. Absolute Batman #1 – Javier Fernandez – 2024 NYCC – The Comic Corner – Akira Homage (Limited 1000)
Akira homage covers are a favorite among collectors. So are sketch covers. And Absolute Batman has been a high priority item on collector’s list. 6. Absolute Wonder Woman #1 – Dan Panosian (1:25)
Dan Panosian blew this cover out of the water! In this version of Wonder Woman, Diana is still an Amazon descendant but is raised in Hell. Panosian does a beautiful job of capturing the beauty of the Amazonian warrior while also showing her harsher upbringing as she wields her massive sword. Cover A of this book is trending higher, but the cover of the 1:25 ratio is not so far behind! We tracked 62 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 39%, with a high sale of $50 for an NM copy and a current NM raw price of $45.
7. Wolverine #1 – 2024 NYCC – Magic The Gathering Edition
Crossover fans of Magic and Marvel rejoiced at the NYCC announcement of Magic’s Secret Lair Marvel drop! The heroes of the Marvel universe join the immensely popular TCG. Absolute Batman has taken the DC fans by storm. The whole Absolute universe has been highly anticipated, and it has now arrived in multiple variant covers. This book might be an awesome exclusive grab for those who are caught up on all the covers. This was a 2024 NYCC exclusive, and it was limited to only 1000 copies. 9. Alien: Romulus #1 – Bjorn Barends (1:25)
Fans of the Alien horror series have been treated to a great movie this year. Alien: Romulus debuted to mostly favorable reviews this past August. The film was a commercial hit, grossing over $350 million worldwide. It quickly became the second highest-grossing film in the franchise. Two months after it was released in theaters, this story got a spin-off in the form of a one-shot comic book. It looks like that was the right move because fans chased the 1:25 ratio cover of the set, making the book a highly collectible cover less than a week after its debut! We tracked 29 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 22%, with a high sale of $46 for an NM copy and a current NM raw price of $41.
10. The Sensational She-Hulk #1 – Mirka Andolfo – New Champions
