RUNNERS UP
11 Amazing Spider-Man #1 – Roberta Ingranata – 2025 Pax West – Magic The Gathering (On eBay)
PAX West took place the last weekend of August but this book just caught fire on the aftermarket! Wizards of the Coast officially debuted cards, mechanics and other important details about the Magic the Gathering: Spider-Man set, at PAX West. In addition to all these reveals, attendees were able to go to booth #2139 to pick up exclusive starter decks and this awesome comic book variant! The debut of the card set releases this Friday and the promotional events, this past weekend, have really ramped up these covers. Fans of Magic and fans of Spider-Man are hunting down these card art covers and demand is surging! We tracked 9 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 25% with a high sale of $130 for a Raw NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $77.
12 Marvel/DC: Deadpool/Batman #1 – Skottie Young (On eBay)
The Marvel/DC event has officially kicked off with Deadpool and Batman taking center stage! While the book features several crossover stories in the Marvel/DC crossover, the covers have been primarily focused on Batman and Deadpool. The homage covers have taken over the Top Ten but there are still plenty of covers to chase, especially one featuring the popular Skottie Young! Young’s signature art style lends to a perfectly comedic crossover cover that fans are happy to hunt on the aftermarket. We tracked 51 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 96% with a high sale of $14 for a Raw NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $14.
13 Red Hood #1 – Jim Lee – Virgin (1:50) (On eBay)
JIM LEE: RED HOOD #1 exploded onto last week’s Top 10, with nine covers dominating the list. This week sales slowed sharply, dropping from over 525 tracked copies of Cover A to less than half that number. The average prices also fell from $40 at release to around $20 by Sunday. The key factor here lies in the supply, with nearly 1,000 copies still listed online, a level we have never seen before. As buyer interest cools, that over-saturation makes even current prices difficult to sustain. Still, some covers are proving more resilient, particularly the elusive 1:50 Jim Lee variant which was hard to track down from the start. Controversy aside, Lee’s work carries lasting appeal among collectors and these scarcer covers have the best chance at holding long-term value. We tracked 22 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 20% with a high sale of $260 for a Raw NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $198.
14 Red Hood #1 – Nick Robles (1:25) (On eBay)
Like Jim Lee’s 1:50, the Nick Robles 1:25 is also holding its market value thanks to its ratio scarcity. With far fewer copies listed than Cover A, only about 22 copies are currently available. We tracked 30 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 6% with a high sale of $120 for a Raw NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $64.
15 Exquisite Corpses #5 – Michael Walsh – Secret Foil (On eBay)
Secret covers will always be a top seller on the aftermarket. This foil cover made it to retailers and then quickly found their way to the aftermarket. The exclusivity of a surprise cover usually drives tons of sales. The series itself has already been doing extremely well, add a hard-to-find cover into the mix and you’ve got a recipe for a top trending comic book! We tracked 24 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 22% with a high sale of $50 for a Raw NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $42.
16 Marvel/DC: Deadpool/Batman #1 – Steve McNiven (1:25) (On eBay)
What a blood bath! These barbaric brawlers go for a no-holds-barred battle! This savage cover is brought to us thanks to Steve McNiven, who tears up Wolverine and Batman in the clash we all want to see. This retailer incentive is the only retailer incentive to hit either our Top Ten or our Runners-Up lists! That speaks to the awesome artwork displayed on this cover and how many fans want their own copy! We tracked 60 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 56% with a high sale of $35 for a Raw NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $26.
17 Marvel Zombies: Red Band #1 – Clayton Crain – Virgin (1:100) (On eBay)
Playing off the hype built around the Marvel Zombies Disney+ trailer, the new Marvel Zombies universe kicks off. In this 5-part limited series, Marvel aims to take gore to a whole new level under their Red Band banner. The series starts off with Marvel’s First Family, as they kick off the new Marvel Zombies Universe. The 1:25 retailer incentive hit the Top Ten this week, but fans also dug deep to secure a costlier 1:100 cover. This virgin cover also features Iron Man in what looks like a variant on his Model 1 armor. We tracked six copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 16% with a high sale of $130 for a Raw NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $121.
18 Absolute Batman #7 – Nick Dragotta – Regular (On eBay)
ABSOLUTE BATMAN releases its next issue in a couple of weeks, revealing the first full appearance of the new Absolute Catwoman! In anticipation of all these new villains we’ve been spoiled with, fans are circling back to one of the most terrifying Absolute villains. Victor Fries debuted as a new entity, giving a terrifying new appearance to the character. Important to note is that this is not Victor Fries but rather his son, who was infected with a prehistoric mutagenic virus. In his two-part appearance in the series, his future is left uncertain, paving the way for future appearances in the Absolute Universe. We tracked 13 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 96% with a high sale of $50 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current raw NM FMV of $20.
19 X-Men Of Apocalypse Alpha #1 – Joe Madureira – Cover A Virgin (1:50) (On eBay)
This book takes us back to the original Age of Apocalypse storyline. It kicks off where that story ended and aims to bring in these X-Men variants into the main Marvel Universe. The book highlights the Apocalypses’ mutants meeting with their counterparts in the current mainstream timelines. It has a lot of great teases to future storylines, being a direct predecessor to X-MEN OF APOCALYPSE #1. What made this cover jump was the stellar artwork brought forth by Madureira. It features the popular Wolverine costume in all his rage. What makes this cover more of a collector’s item is the retailer incentive status, giving the 1:50 variant a higher value! We tracked 13 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 5% with a high sale of $76 for a Raw NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $63.
20 Batman #1 – Blind As A Bat Blind Bag (On eBay)
With a blacked-out blind bag, this issue sure left collectors feeling blind going in. But, that’s the point! The Blind Bag craze has really ramped up with an outing from one of the biggest publishers around in DC. Utilizing the Batman IP is another stroke of capitalism, as collectors went bananas, grabbing up copies, trying to secure a variant that caught their eye. For those that didn’t, the aftermarket had ample copies to secure, as collectors are still working through them! We tracked 34 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 100% with a high sale of $18 for a Raw NM+ copy and a current raw NM FMV of $14.
