RUNNERS UP
11 The Omega Men #3 (on eBay)
This book has been trending off and on for years, depending on the info leaking from Hollywood. For the longest time, it was theorized that Jason Momoa would be excellent to play the character of Lobo. Then he got confirmed for the role in the upcoming Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow. But, more recently, Lobo has eyes on him because there is a large subset of the community that has no idea who he is or what he’s about. They dove into the Deadpool/Batman crossover, we’re introduced to Logo (an amalgamation of Wolverine and Lobo), and likely dove down the rabbit hole until they hit his first appearance in this book. A winding road for sure! We tracked 18 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 6% with a high sale of $300 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current raw NM FMV of $110.
12 The Curse Of Sherlee Johnson #3 – Frank Miller & Todd McFarlane – B&W (1:25) (on eBay)
It’s been a while since we got a new Hellspawn, and well, we got it in this book! McFarlane is really branching out with this run, as it was spun off a character that appeared in one issue (#5) and wasn’t really seen again. Back with a vengeance in this run, McFarlane and longtime industry stalwart Frank Miller came together on this ratio cover that had collectors running to their LCS, and later the online aftermarket to secure a copy. We tracked nine copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 17% with a high sale of $100 for a Raw NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $85.
13 Red Hood #1 – Jim Lee – Virgin (1:50) (on eBay)
This book went crazy on the aftermarket once it was revealed that DC axed the series. Collectors everywhere are snagging up copies in a hurry, but this Jim Lee variant is the leader of the pack. It was the highest ratio variant available, but likely didn’t see a ton of LCS ordering massive quantities, as Red Hood is popular, but not that popular. Not to mention the depiction of Jason Todd in the background, made famous by the “Death in the Family” run. It’s a stellar variant for collectors to chase, and one that had a lot of eyes on it in a hurry! We tracked 10 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 0% with a high sale of $269 for a Raw NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $237.
14 X-Men Of Apocalypse Alpha #1 – Joe Madureira – Cover A Virgin (1:50) (on eBay)
Bring on the nostalgia! This book aims to revisit the Age of Apocalypse saga, an era that brought us a TON of epic X titles that are still beloved today. Joe Madureira nailed this 1:50 virgin variant featuring a killer version of Wolverine from the era. Down a hand, but still ready to pop those claws at a moment’s notice! We tracked seven copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 3% with a high sale of $66 for a Raw NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $61.
15 Absolute Batman #8 – Nick Dragotta – Regular (on eBay)
Absolute Batman is shaping up to be something spectacular. Originally set to be just a mini-series, Scott Snyder has revealed he has upwards of a 40-issue run in mind. Part of what makes it so great is the route the creative team has taken to set up the “Rogues Gallery”. This book features ‘Mr Freeze’, albeit one we haven’t seen before. It reveals him in full in this issue, and also delivers Batman his first loss of the series. It was a pivotal moment for the Absolute Batman run, and helped the series become one of the best being released. We tracked 22 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 29% with a high sale of $50 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current raw NM FMV of $4.
16 Amazing Spider-Man #1 – Roberta Ingranata – 2025 Pax West – Magic The Gathering (on eBay)
Available to panel attendees as well as general attendees at Pax West 2025, this variant from the upcoming Magic: The Gathering and Spider-Man crossover features none other than the Bombastic Bag Man! From an era when Spidey joined the Fantastic Four, Bombastic Bag Man is a beloved variation of Spider-Man. When collectors saw this variant available, they jumped at the opportunity to secure a copy, much like they did with the other exclusive variants from the event! We tracked six copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 8% with a high sale of $90 for a Raw NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $81.
17 Red Hood #1 – Nick Robles (1:25) (on eBay)
As mentioned, after this series got yanked by DC, collectors went nuts trying to get a copy. While the Jim Lee 1:50 virgin variant was at the top of the mountain, collectors have really taken an interest in this 1:25 from Nick Robles. Part of that is price point, another is the central characters smooching on the cover, and scarcity. LCS likely weren’t ordering this book in droves, making it tough to come by. But that hasn’t stopped collectors! We tracked 11 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 17% with a high sale of $85 for a Raw NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $72.
18 Hyde Street #9 – Brad Anderson & Rob Leigh (1:20) (on eBay)
Hyde Street has been steadily bringing in collectors and turning them on to the things Ghost Machine is up to. It’s been a solid run, but we’re here to talk about this 1:20 ratio variant from Brad Anderson and Rob Leigh! Homaging the classic cereals of yesteryear like Count Chocula, it appeals to a wide range of fans. And, it’s just in time for spooky season, when folks love to reminisce about the good ole days and sugary deliciousness. We tracked nine copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 50% with a high sale of $35 for a Raw NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $27.
19 Spawn #1 – Todd McFarlane – Direct (on eBay)
Spawn is the aftermarket king, and it’s still going strong! Just last year, Spawn creator Todd McFarlane opted to develop the universe and has been delivering new titles that flesh out the world, like The Curse of Sherlee Johnson. While this book isn’t his first appearance, it is the introduction into the world of Spawn, and one that happens to change hands often. King Spawn! We tracked 22 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 9% with a high sale of $144 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current raw NM FMV of $24.
20 Spawn #9 (on eBay)
This book marks the introduction of Angela, before she migrated to Marvel and became a sister of Thor. She floated under the radar, occasionally popping up on lists whenever Spawn was heating up. But recently, Angela got her big break, becoming a playable character in the uber-popular Marvel Rivals. Fans were pumped, but were often wondering who the heck she was. They got their intro with this book, a prevalent and cheap, early Spawn key! We tracked 18 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 9% with a high sale of $84 for a Raw CGC 9.8 and a current raw NM FMV of $8.
