THE TOP 10
1 The Amazing Spider-Man Vol.2 #46 (487) eBay
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is shaping up to be something epic, if rumors are to be believed. Since it was announced that actress Sadie Sink was cast in the film, who she will be playing has been a hot topic. Mary Jane Watson, at least, a more comic-accurate depiction was where a lot of collectors pivoted. But recent rumors are building steam regarding Sadie Sink playing the villain Shathra, who first appeared in this book. Again, unsubstantiated rumors, but that’s half the fun for the community when looking forward to the next MCU project. We tracked 24 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 442% with a high sale of $49 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current raw NM FMV of $5.
2 Skinbreaker Treasury Edition #1 – David Finch & Annalisa Leoni – Regular eBay
The newest series from industry juggernauts Robert Kirkman and David Finch has been going gangbusters on the aftermarket, with LCS quickly selling out. However, Kirkman was quick to point collectors toward the Treasury edition, as it best showed off the stellar, detailed work that Finch has built a reputation upon. Collectors listened, sending folks to the online marketplace to secure a copy. We tracked seven copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 200% with a high sale of $72 for a Raw NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $56.
3 The Incredible Hulk #153 eBay
It’s been confirmed that we will get Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and of course, fans are curious to see how that will play out. That’s led them to this book, one in which several high-profile heroes navigate the trial of the Hulk. Peter Parker, Matt Murdock, and Reed Richards all play pivotal moments within the issue, and potentially provide an idea of how the plot may be constructed. It’s a deep cut, but collectors sniffed it out! We tracked 59 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 138% with a high sale of $50 for a Raw VF copy and a current raw VG FMV of $13.
4 Absolute Batman #10 – Nick Dragotta – Regular eBay
This was a heavy hitter for sure! The Absolute Batman series has been gaining steam, even after its explosive debut. But when Scott Snyder and Nick Dragotta keep delivering twists like what unfolded in this book, fans are bound to continue showing up! This issue introduces Bruce Wayne’s friend, Waylon Jones, as Killer Croc, AND old Batman gets a taste of what looks like Venom. Absolute madness! We tracked 18 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 166% with a high sale of $60 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current raw NM FMV of $23.
5 Pinupocalypse #6 – Sveta Shubina & Andrew Tarusov – Cover D – Connecting (1:10) eBay
This run has been doing well on the aftermarket, a highlight being variant covers from Sveta Shubina. Well, Shubina paired with Andrew Tarusov to deliver a pair of connecting cover variants! The community loves connecting covers, but rarely do we see a connecting cover, amongst the variants of a book, both with the same ratio (1:10). Still available online as of this writing for FMV! We tracked eight copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 106% with a high sale of $25 for a Raw NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $20.
6 Pinupocalypse #6 – Sveta Shubina & Andrew Tarusov – Cover C – Connecting (1:10) eBay
This is the second half of the connecting covers for this issue from Sveta Shubina and Andrew Tarusov! To see both on this list is cool, but some collectors may wonder why this 1:25 variant from Shubina hasn’t seen more attention. It had some decent pre-sales, but only a couple went through, leading to the smaller ratio books gaining more attention. This variant is also still available online for FMV as of this writing! We tracked eight copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 107% with a high sale of $25 for a Raw NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $20.
7 G.I. Joe: Cold Slither #1 – Steve Beach (1:25) eBay
We’ve seen a rise in comics bridging the gap with musical acts. This book gives an unofficial biography of the band Cold Slither. Some may not be into it, but fans of Sister Imperator and the Amory Wars would like a word! Still, this was a flyer book for most, so LCS likely didn’t order heavy, leading to these 1:25 ratio variants being tougher to get! We tracked 10 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 45% with a high sale of $54 for a Raw NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $42.
8 Star Trek: Red Shirts #3 – Suspiria Vilchez – Cover RI (1:10) eBay
The “Red Shirts” in Star Trek are often left in dire straits, killed off in grizzly ways in service to the main crew. And, they got a mini-series! While not a massive run, it has been gaining traction from Trekkies around the globe, and the stellar covers being delivered. This book is a prime example, an awesome, classic, horror-centric cover leading up to spooky season, and the only ratio variant for this book, and one that was likely lightly ordered at LCS. We tracked six copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 59% with a high sale of $40 for a Raw NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $30.
9 Nightwing #130 – Kevin Wada – Pumpkin Spicy eBay
Oh yeah, it’s pumpkin spice season! The craze takes over every year, and it’s made its way into the comic world. Kevin Wada tapped into the zeitgeist with this one, delivering not only pumpkins but letting Dick Grayson feel a little spicy while at it. We tracked 16 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 24% with a high sale of $36 for a Raw VF copy and a current raw NM FMV of $24.
10 Skinbreaker #1 – David Finch & Annalisa Leoni – Black Foil Logo – Thank You (1 Per Store) eBay
Skinbreaker is seeing a ton of aftermarket action, and collectors are after some of the premiere variants for the first issue. One being the Treasury Edition, and another this coveted Thank You variant! We collectors love a good limited variant to chase, and this one per store scratched that itch! With the heat surrounding Skinbreaker currently, it’s not surprising to see this Thank You variant driving up FMV. We tracked 22 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 28% with a high sale of $75 for a Raw NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $64.
