Agent Poyo's Picks of the week for April 1st 2014

Tomorrow is April 1st, be sure to prank as many people as possible on the 1st.
So the picks, yeah.. Ummm.. I’m gonna go with (No Pranks Here):

No Mercy #1 (Image) – Alex de Campi, her Smoke series was nominated for an Eisner back in the day, so don’t skip this new series, could be a great read and it’s an Image #1.
Kanan the Last Padawan #1 (Marvel) – It’s been noted to be under ordered, could just be Marvel playing tricks like they are oh so good at. Most notably, find the Television Show and Plunkett variants for cheap for a possible quick easy flip.
The super small print run specs:
Ravenous #1 (Creature Entertainment) – Already sold out at most online retailers. Expect really low print runs on this one. Another take on Werewolves.. the description they’re sending out with it is: “Humanity is caught in a war where man is considered mere cattle to satisfy the hunger of beings who were thought to have lived only in myths and lore. There are few who know the truth and even fewer who are prepared to fight. Trapped in a world that is woefully ill-equipped for the coming onslaught, a 300-year-old Native American shaman is kept alive by the herbal knowledge of scores of generations before him. As the carnage rages, David Blackthorn must hunt down the queen of a werewolf pack responsible for the heinous murder of his entire tribe, before she can release the Prime Wolf and bring forth an age of rage and destruction the likes of which the world has never seen.”
And lastly:
Puppet Master #1 (Danger Zone) – Cult classic, from the late 80s. Expect small print run while the fans of the movies to come out from under their rocks to snatch these when they find out there’s a comic available.

  1. Wow @ a puppet master book. That brings back some memories! I think they should continue resurrecting cult 80s horror movies in comics. Maybe a Ghoulies book?
