RUNNERS UP
11 The Beauty #1 – Jeremy Haun – Cover A
It’s kind of crazy, the evolution of this book. Way back in 2020, it was initially rumored to have been optioned. In September 2024, it was picked up by FX. Two weeks ago, we got the first trailer, and just a few days from now, the series premieres. That’s how long it can take for some series to see the light of day, but now, The Beauty is getting its turn on the silver screen from American Horror Story icon Ryan Murphy. A series about high fashion and murder? The community said, yes please, and continued picking up the first issue of this series before it hits the airwaves. We tracked 13 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 58% with a high sale of $35 for a Raw NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $33.

12 Absolute Wonder Woman #15 – Hayden Sherman – Regular
This book kicked the Absolute universe into overdrive. It’s the first meeting between Absolute juggernauts in Wonder Woman and Batman. That was enough for collectors to secure it in a hurry and continue doing so as momentum builds. Movement has slowed down a touch, but collectors are still searching far and wide for a copy to add to the collection before the Absolute Universe grows even further. We tracked 34 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 53% with a high sale of $16 for a Raw NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $11

13 The Beauty #1 – Jenny Frison – Cover B
Jenny Frison delivered on this cover! She lent her talents to this work before we saw the insane explosion in Frison die-hards, so it’s somewhat of an under-the-radar work she produced. It helps to get more eyes on it when the series, The Beauty, has been optioned and is set to debut on FX in just a couple of days. Several subsets of collectors are after this book, and we could see another bump in interest if the series lands well with audiences. We tracked 13 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 19% with a high sale of $180 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current raw NM FMV of $39.

14 Absolute Batman #2 – Dan Panosian
Every cover of Absolute Batman has been taking off in recent weeks, but the key first appearance books are really seeing extra interest. This book marks the debut of Absolute Oswald Cobblepot, Edward Nygma, and Harvey Dent, with a smidge of Selena Kyle. That’s quite a big deal for collectors, considering the scope the AU has exploded into already. This Dan Panosion cover has taken a back seat to Cover A, but that’s changing as collectors scour the market for copies. With major players growing into their alter egos on the very page we read, fans want it in the PC and are willing to pay for it, including for a killer variant. We tracked 19 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 12% with a high sale of $30 for a Raw NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $18.

15 DC All In Special #1 – Daniel Sampere – Regular – Wraparound
Absolute Batman #1 got all the attention, but that’s somewhat changing as collectors dive deeper into the AU. This book dropped one week before AB #1 and was swept up in all the conversation surrounding it. But many collectors missed out on this book, and missed out on the first appearances of the Absolute big three in Superman, Wonder Woman, and Batman. Now, with the AU crushing, collectors are revisiting, especially with the recent team-up of Wonder Woman and Batman. Absolute Superman just saw a solid launching point for new readers at issue #15, and it’s likely a matter of time before he joins the crossover gang as well. We tracked 50 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 8% with a high sale of $267 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current raw NM FMV of $66.

16 Absolute Batman #8 – Nick Dragotta – Regular
Mr. Freeze is a tragic character, but Absolute Batman dialed that up a notch! Add a dash of the horror element, and this iteration of Mr. Freeze is a walking nightmare. Fans were excited to secure this issue to learn more, especially as the series was also laying the groundwork for what is to come. While it’s not a dazzling first appearance for collectors to chase, it is absolutely a key issue in the run for those who are diving into the series headfirst. We tracked 26 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 10% with a high sale of $125 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current raw NM FMV of $23.

17 Absolute Batman #11 – Nick Dragotta – Regular
Absolute Bane is a beast, and the early storyline between him and Batman was stellar. But this book delivers the origin of the beast, and boy, is it a doozy. Set up in a way that delivers stakes and capitalizes on it, collectors have been after this book for months. Also featuring the first “full” appearance of Absolute Joker, before he goes demon mode, is the icing on the cake. It’s an important book to the fanbase, and they’ve been proving that with their wallets! We tracked 8 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 12% with a high sale of $200 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current raw NM FMV of $42.

18 Absolute Batman #1 – Nick Dragotta – Regular
The book that launched a Universe! This has been the book of collectors’ envy for months now, and that trend is continuing week after week. It’s the debut issue of the Absolute Batman run, initially imagined as a mini-series before the hype began. Now, a full-blown run that has collectors begging for more is being released, and they want a piece of the first issue. It’s become insanely expensive, but collectors are willing to pay to secure a copy. We tracked 110 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 11% with a high sale of $399 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current raw NM FMV of $204.

19 Absolute Batman #2 – Nick Dragotta – Regular
We’ve touched on this issue already and the crazy amount of first appearances in it, but this week, Cover A is taking a back seat. It ebbs and flows, but this issue is one collectors are searching high and low for. It laid the groundwork exceptionally well for the story that followed. With such a foundation, the world-building that followed flowed so well that it hooked the community at large and delivered a storm of hype we haven’t seen for some time. While it’s not moving as many copies as it has been, it’s still moving, over a year after it dropped into LCS’s! We tracked 38 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 7% with a high sale of $156 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current raw NM FMV of $25.

20 Absolute Superman #15 – Juan Ferreyra
This book was a little confusing when it first came out, as Absolute Superman hasn’t received the same attention as Absolute Batman or Absolute Wonder Woman. That’s led to a bit of a funky situation surrounding RI (retailer incentive) covers, or how many copies a shop would have to order to secure a certain cover. This book sort of acted like that in this situation, which led to some confusion and left the cover collectors searching for it. Juan Ferreyra killed it with this one! We tracked 68 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 2% with a high sale of $56 for a Raw NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $51.
