RUNNERS UP

11 Superman #34 – Mario Foccillo
The “Kaoi-Ken” cover sales hold strong as fans are still enjoying the hunt for this beast of a cover. It features the Man of Steel charging up to insane amounts of power. The manga-style cover was a huge hit with fans, and it immediately made waves on the aftermarket. It’s safe to say that this cover’s awesomeness is over 9000! We tracked 54 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 28% with a high sale of $150 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current raw NM FMV of $37.

12 DC K.O.: Knightfight #3 – Dan Mora – Regular
Depending on how long you’ve been with the Dark Knight, it may surprise you to know that he is now a grandfather. Well, in a made-up reality created by Darkseid to torture Bruce. In this fake reality, Darkseid lets Bruce enjoy his family, with a grown-up Damian Wayne and a grandson, Alfred Wayne. The reality is ripped away in issue #4, although many fans believe this is not the last of Alfred Wayne. After all, it wouldn’t be the first time in comics that a made-up character was brought into the main timeline! If true, Alfred Wayne’s first appearance will make for a decent key issue to collect. We tracked 11 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 50% with a high sale of $19 for an NM+ copy and a current raw NM FMV of $16.

14 Spider-Man Noir #1 – Patrick Zircher – Regular
Amazon Prime dropped its first trailer for Spider-Man Noir, and it looks intriguing! It is far from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as it boasts a much darker tone. Nicolas Cage reprises his role as Ben Reilly, taking on the role of “The Spider” in a 1930s crime epic. The trailer shared just enough to captivate fans and send them straight to online marketplaces to hunt down a copy of Spider-Man Noir’s first appearance! We tracked 11 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 67% with a high sale of $625 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current raw NM FMV of $387.

15 Cyclops #1 – Edwin Galmon (1:25)
CYCLOPS was a hotly anticipated series. Many fans of the X-Men were excited to see this book in their local comic shops. What fans weren’t ready for was the amount of first appearances in this issue and the complete masterpiece that Edwin Galmon illustrated as a retailer incentive cover. We tracked 20 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 97% with a high sale of $40 for an NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $27.

Fans of D’ORC love their exclusive covers! D’ORC has become a massive hit in the comic book community. It tells a great story, has great interior artwork, and offers tons of great covers. As fans clean up the aftermarket on all the open order covers, new exclusive covers are starting to get attention. This cover is pure action as the D’orc charges at a dragon. It’s just pure violent fun. We tracked 9 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 20%, with a high sale of $70 for an NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $64.

17 Sirens: Love Hurts #1 – Babs Tarr (1:25)
The bombshells of DC have gotten together for a stellar series and cover! Harley, Ivy, Catwoman, and Black Canary pose for this spotlight variant. The first appearance of Hecate is a huge win for Absolute Wonder Woman! This first appearance has caused quite a stir, sending the book to the top of every collector’s list last week. 20 Black Cat #7 – Ivan Talavera – Virgin (1:100)
This book got hot on the aftermarket for two big reasons: it is a virgin variant, and it is a high retailer incentive cover. Talavera brings the seductive Black Cat to life on this cover of her solo series. The artwork has a trade dress version for open order, but fans would not have it. They spared no expense in tracking down the virgin variant of this cover and dropping good money to own this Black Cat beauty!
