Gerry Duggan and Phil Noto’s Infinite Horizon has been optioned by Warner Brothers.
Variety a little earlier today.
Warner Bros. has acquired the spec script “The Infinite Horizon” written by Ryan Condal, which is based on the graphic novel series by Gerry Duggan and inspired by “The Odyssey” with Greg Berlanti attached to produce.
Berlanti and Sarah Schechter will produce along with Lawrence Grey. “Hercules” scribe Condal will also serve as an exec producer.
In the series, the storyline follows a soldier with no name who, after surviving years of war, ends up stranded halfway across the globe when the conflict ended. Getting home means going through the hell: escaping shipwrecks, beating a vicious opponent wearing a cycloptic combat armor and resisting the siren’s call of a predatory society.
Drew Crevello and Julia Spiro will oversee for the studio.
Besides “Pan,” Berlanti also has a major presence in the Warner Bros. TV world. He is also producer on the CW’s “The Flash.” Grey is currently developing Universal’s “Section Six” and Sony’s “Winter Knight.”
The six issue series can be found cheap, for now, Mycomicshop has them for about $1 an issue. This also includes the 2007 Convention Special. Ebay prices run a little higher on Infinite Horizon #1, but are still easy to find.
