RUNNERS UP
#11 VENOM: SEPARATION ANXIETY #1 – Gerardo Sandoval – Gold (1:200) | MARVEL | 2024
What an insane cover! Gerardo Sandoval illustrates an amazing Venom cover that has sent the aftermarket into a frenzy. There are three variations of Sandoval’s cover. The regular cover has a raw NM FMV of $78, and the silver cover currently has a raw NM FMV of $139 for the 1:100 ratio cover. This gold cover is the top earner of the three and the most chased! The 1:200 ratio cover sold ten copies this past week, at a 7-day trend of 6%, with a high sale of $428 for a raw copy and a current raw NM FMV of $349.

#12 WOLVERINE #145 – Silver Foil Enhanced Cover | MARVEL | 1999
This is a huge spoiler if you haven’t already watched the 9th episode of X-Men ‘97! The episode ends with a huge twist, maybe not for fans of the comics, when Magneto rips the adamantium out of Wolverine’s bones. This is done late in the season, and we weren’t teased with any other consequences for Logan. He is simply left unconscious through the finale of the season. If storylines continue to follow the comics, it is likely that we will see Wolverine bond with adamantium once again in season 2! This is especially true with that finale after-credits tease of a new big bad who plays a big role in Wolverine getting his adamantium back. It is all hypothetical right now, but fans are speculating about this storyline and buying into this book. We tracked 14 copies sold, at a 7-day trend of 116%, with a high sale of $94 for a CGC 9.4 copy and a current raw NM FMV of $22.

#13 DOOM #1 – Adi Granol | MARVEL | 2024
The Greene cover of this book is currently sitting at our number-one spot, but its variants are also trending! The reason behind this is that the storyline seems eerily similar to some of the rumors surrounding the Fantastic Four movie and the future of the MCU. Doctor Doom and Galactus are the main players here, as Dr. Doom seeks to amass enough power to stop Galactus from destroying the universe. Even if this isn’t a speculation buy, tons of reviews have come out that this book is a solid Dr. Doom storyline! We tracked 30 copies sold at a 7-day trend of 112%, with a high sale of $18 for a raw copy and a current raw NM FMV of $16.

#14 DOOM #1 – Maria Wolf (1:25) | MARVEL | 2024
Whether you’re a speculation buyer or just a fan of Dr. Doom, you’ve probably been on the hype train this week! This book has been extremely popular for many reasons. The first is that there is a ton of great art in the book. Secondly, the story has received many great reviews. Finally, there is some loose speculation surrounding the storyline and its relation to future MCU storylines. Either way, this Maria Wolf retailer incentive has been a hot item on the aftermarket! We tracked 41 copies sold, at a 7-day trend of 52%, with a high sale of $35 for a raw copy and a current raw NM FMV of $29.

#15 THE AVENGERS #64 | MARVEL | 1969
A known leaker of the MCU posted last week that Hawkeye will be getting a second season on Disney+. Along with this rumor, they also mentioned that Barney Barton, Clint’s brother, will be playing a prominent role in the new season. The season is rumored to be based off the movie The Raid and will focus on Clint and Kate trying to escape from one building all season. It isn’t clear if Barney will don his villain alter ego, Trick Shot, or if he is there to help his brother. Even without any details, this rumor was enough to put this book onto collectors’ radar. We tracked 23 copies sold, at a 7-day trend of 91%, with a high sale of $40 for a raw VF copy and a current raw NM FMV of $24.

#16 MAD MAX: FURY ROAD: FURIOSA #1 | VERTIGO | 2015
This Friday is the release of Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, and fans are joining the road warriors! Originally, this movie started with tons of hype that seemingly died off. Now that we’re in release week, a ton of early reviews are being released that are giving high praise for the film. The hype has returned, and so has the hype to pick up a copy of Furiosa’s first appearance! We tracked eight copies sold at a 7-day trend of 172%, with a high sale of $145 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current raw NM FMV of $14.

#17 SPIDER-WOMAN #7 – LEINIL FRANCIS YU | MARVEL | 2024
Yu’s Spider-Woman cover is still holding strong! It may have fallen a few spots on our lists, but fans of the series are still driving up the aftermarket. The 2nd print is set to release in June, which is also building up the hype on the first prints. In addition to a great cover, this book marks the first appearance of The Assembly! We tracked 15 copies sold, at a 7-day trend of 64%, with a high sale of $19 for a raw NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $14.

#18 X-FACTOR #6 | MARVEL | 1986
Here goes another X-Men ‘97 spoiler! At the end of the season finale, we see the X-Men team scattered across the timeline, with some of the team being sent to the future while others are sent to the distant past. In the past, the team encounters an individual who identifies himself as En Sabah Nur, also known as Apocalypse. That wasn’t the only tease! In the after-credits scene, we see a much more familiar version of Apocalypse, combing through the destruction of Genosha. Season 2 is already in the works, and the fandom is ready for another thrilling ride with the X-Men! We tracked 19 copies sold, at a 7-day trend of 32%, with a high sale of $450 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current raw NM FMV of $40.

#19 DOOM #1 – Adi Granov – Virgin (1:100) | MARVEL | 2024
DOOM has been receiving tons of praise and hype this past week. Upon its release, fans have been chasing variants and retailer incentives. In fact, the reason this book is so low on the list is likely due to the high price point. This 1:100 ratio cover is currently trending at a raw NM FMV of $137! While other books are more easily attainable, this book might be out of reach for some people. However, for those who can nab this book in the aftermarket, this virgin Adi Granov cover truly makes a phenomenal art piece to add to anyone’s collection. We tracked 12 copies sold, at a 7-day trend of 5%, with a high sale of $190 for a raw NM copy.

#20 BLOOD HUNT: RED BAND EDITION #1 – Leinil Francis Yu – Crime Suspense Stories #22 Homage (1:25) | MARVEL | 2024
The hunt continues for BLOOD HUNT! This Redband edition made waves as a book that took no reservations in the amount of gore it shed in the larger Marvel comic universe. The gritty artwork was meant to appeal to a demographic looking for a more “rated-r” comic book in the Marvel universe. As the book became immensely popular, so did the 1:25 homage cover by Yu. Between SPIDER-WOMAN #7 and this cover, Yu has been killing it! Good luck to all those chasing his covers lately! We tracked 25 copies sold at a 7-day trend of 10%, with a high sale of $230 for a raw NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $193.
