Comic Picks of the week 6/19/13

Each Tuesday we pick which books we are speculating on to be the “big” books of the week. This week we have some really interesting picks. Check them out below and let us know what you think:

1. Age of Ultron 10 – We know this book will be heavily printed. We know that it will be heavily bought. But even books with big print runs and bring good return on investments (regular cover ASM 700). The reason we are picking this one is for several reasons. First, it brings Angela to the Marvel Universe, this has been publicized.  Second, it is poly-bagged which means that Angela isn’t the only surprise in store. Lastly, it sets the tone for the Marvel Universe for the near future.

2. Max Brooks Extinction Parade #1 – Max Brooks has a movie coming out based on his Zombie Book ‘World War Z’. The movie might bring people over looking for not only his ‘Zombie Survival Guide’ related comics, but this one as well.  Here we have Zombies vs. Vampires vs. Humans.

3. X-Files Season 10 #1 – X-Files has a big following years after the show ended. This book could really catch on once fans hear about it. 4. Wild Blue Yonder #1 – Steampunk comics are all the rage. This IDW book deals with Steampunk and air pirates and looks good. Following up on how well ‘Half Past Danger’, I am not going to pass this one up. I will have Signed Store Variants and Signed Phantom variants available (limited quantities) as well as unsigned if anyone is interested.
