The Diamond Comics Advanced reorder list is an excellent insight into what is potentially hot. Shops are going in and reordering books before the final order cut off. These books could have gained interest from a recent first issue, popular story line, chatter on message boards, or customers coming in and asking about them. Whatever the reason, retailers are stocking up on these books.
1. FOREVER EVIL #4– DC event book leads the list this week.
2. BLACK SCIENCE #2 CVR A SCALERA & WHITE– First issue was fantastic and sold out. My favorite read of the past week. Story is fast paced.
3. PRETTY DEADLY #3– Kelly Sue Deconnick and Emma Rios book hitting its strides. First two issues sold well.
4. JUPITERS LEGACY GIANT-SIZED EDITION #1 Just in time for the release of issue four is the collected version of the 1st three issues. Not a bad way to do it so people can read it all in one sitting. Great book but slow shipping scheduled.
5. HARLEY QUINN #1– Oddball first issue (issue 0) was more pinups with insider jokes about comic creators. Here the series actually begins for the fan favorite clown.
6. BLACK KISS II CHRISTMAS SPECIAL ONE SHOT CVR B– because nothing says ‘holiday fun’ like an endless stream of incredibly nasty revenge sex.
7. BLACK SCIENCE #2 CVR B RODRIGUEZ & WHITE INCV – See #2
8. SUPERIOR SPIDER-MAN #24– Fan favorite Spider-Ock meets Venom.
11. UMBRAL #1 2ND PTG – First issue sold out, going back for second print. Interesting premise.
13. SAVIORS #1 – Preview of the book was very interesting, even though the art was not to my liking. New Image #1 always drives sales.
14. ROBOTECH VOLTRON #1– Classic 80’s books finally crossing over.
15. A VOICE IN THE DARK #1 2ND PTG Sold out before it was released, mostly due to word of mouth, Larime Taylor’s new Top Cow book is hot.
16. AFTERLIFE WITH ARCHIE #3 REG FRANCAVILLA CVR– Archie Zombies continue to kill it, pun intended.
17. LEGENDS OF RED SONJA #1– Gail Simone Red Sonja.
19. ALL NEW X-MEN #20 50TH ANNIVERSARY ART ADAMS VAR–
21. UMBRAL #2
24. WAKE PART ONE #1– First five issues of the Hot Vertigo book.
25. TEEN TITANS GO #1 Hit cartoon network series in comic form
