Detective Comics #27 Selling Well on Secondary Market

I try to stay away from big event books, mostly due to the print runs. In fact, I am off of almost all Marvel and DC books now (partially due to quality vs. price but print runs play a big part.) So I was surprised to see that Detective Comics #27 from Dc’s New 52 line is selling above cover. Sure, the 1 in 100 is killing it at over $150 a copy now (retailers would have to kick out over $400 to get one copy.)
However, a couple of retailers have been telling me they have been selling their regular cover and Frank Miller Cover for $10-$11.99. These are with free shipping, so they are only making a couple of bucks over cover, but for a retailer, who is not paying cover, they are making a good buck. Might be worth keeping an eye on. Maybe the novelty of owning a “Detective #27” is worth it.
