One of the books we skipped over in our A Look Ahead to March and April post the other night was Afterlife with Archie #5 Pepoy Variant. The reason we skipped over it was because of the cover being so good we thought it deserved it’s own story.
Of the Afterlife with Archie covers that have sold the best and done the best on the secondary market,the Pepoy Variant for #1 with Betty dressed in lingerie was the most popular. Well Issue 5’s lingerie cover beats that one hands down. This time it is Veronica that gets the spotlight.

I’m a huge fan of this series, and the art work is amazing!
Love the series and really love this cover. Surprised there isn’t more controversy in the vein of the PowerPuff Girls as these are teen girls dressed in lingerie.
No doubt about it. This cover is awesome!!! I’ll definitely be picking up this variant when it comes out.
Looks like the Pepoy variant #6 is going to be just as good as well.. 🙂

Love this series, but not sure how they will keep it as an on-going if they keep killing off characters… As for this cover, it is money!!! Pair it with the Betty cover and it should sell like hot cakes!

Issue 6 has Sabrina in a “sexy witch” costume
I know this is a six issue mini-series. Maybe they will reboot and do other horror stories (Vampires or what ever)
Pretty sure I read In an interview with Sacasa that this is an on-going series. The description for #6 states that this is “A perfect entry point for new readers as the smash horror TEEN+ hit continues.”
Yeah, even from their official website from the About link it states “Superstar artist Francesco Francavilla (Batman, The Black Beetle) joins Harvey award winning writer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (MGM’s Carrie, The Town that Dreaded Sundown) on the highly anticipated ongoing horror series, Afterlife With Archie.”
I was under the impression it was ongoing and not just a 6 issue series as well.
Could be and I missed the announcement. It’s funny I put the post up last night and saw two almost identical ones on other sites today. But needless to say, tfaw is now wiped out of #5 Pepoy variants.
People better pre-order #6 as well, I’m sure it won’t be long before those are gone as well.. 😉
