While not yet on shelves, Bryan Singer’s Bad Hat Harry Productions has optioned Red 5 Comics’ new action-horror series “Haunted” for the big screen.
In the story of “Haunted,” the barrier between our world and the spiritual realm was mysteriously torn apart allowing the Earth to be overrun by ghosts, demons and poltergeists. Creatures once thought to be mythological terrorized mankind and society collapsed. Thirteen years later, Sarah McCallister manages to survive by being tough, smart, and looking out only for herself. But when a chance to set the world back to normal arises, she finds herself in the compromising position of putting her faith in strangers for the first time.
“Haunted” is a four-part horror action-adventure written by Scott Chitwood (“Drone,” “Afterburn,” “Dead or Alive”), illustrated by newcomer Danny Luckert, and colored by Ivan Plascencia (“Neozoic: Trader’s Gambit”).
Now the cool thing is, Haunted comes out April 30th from Red 5. It will also be featured in Red 5’s FCBD 2014 comic. Give the chance that this will be a really small print run, I would think about picking up a copy or two of the regular, and grabbing several unstamped copies of the FCBD edition as well. Haunted can be preordered here. Again, it is available April 30th. Final order cut off for this book is February 28th.

Imma guess the print run will be huge if they announced the movie before the order cut off date…
Red 5 has not put out many books with big print runs. I would venture a guess that it would still be below 10k copies at most.
