Jacen Solo in Star Wars Sequels?

Bleeding Cool ran a cool bit of news about the Star Wars sequels. It involves rumored characters that may be in the upcoming movies that we posted about in March, lending credence to it.
Back on March 10th we ran this bit of information about the possibility of Jacen Solo appearing in the sequels. Bleeding Cool just kind of confirmed it. The news itself came from Jedinews.co.uk, where they are quoted as saying:

Sounds like Adam Driver is NOT going to play a villain…sort of.
He will be playing the son of Han and Leia, and it seems he will be seduced to the Dark Side, and a main plot point for the movie will be their attempt to rescue him

Now, Jacen first appears in Star Wars : Dark Empire 2, #5 (of 6) as the son of Han Solo and Princess Leia. He goes on to become Darth Caedus, a sith lord.
Actor Adam Driver is possibly playing him in the films. Jacen is an expanded universe character, not appearing in the original films, but could be set to if the rumor is true.
Amazon has copies of Star Wars : Dark Empire 2, #5 (of 6) starting at $1.99 while eBay has copies of Star Wars Dark Empire II #5 starting at $1.25.

  1. I thought Lucas/Disney said no expanded universe? Even if they do use him these issues are plentiful. The one to get is the newsstand or the gold variant.

  2. Driver is way too goofy looking to be Han’s kid. I hope this isn’t true. Honestly, if you’re going to have Jacen you might as well have Jaina.
